Hi, looking for a bi of advice really as my blog has been going for a year now and I have only recently really tried to concentrate on how to promote it. I'm not getting anywhere fast unfortunately. On one hand, I am filled with self-doubt and wondering whether the whole thing has been worth it but I feel as though I have come this far. On the other hand, I really need to earn some money from it,. A bit worried about money at the moment for various reasons. one of my regular price checking jobs has just cut my pay, not cause of me cause of the client and it is really hard to do more of this job in the time I have had to do it. I'm wondering what the best way of starting to make money from my blog would be at this stage, obviously I need to start very small whilst I am still very much at the promotion stage. Sorry this sounds a bit garbled, just looking for advice. Also wondering about sending snippets of my blog to some of the lower end womens magazines

Its hard to make money from a blog. I make probably £100 a year total from mine. Thats a mixture of Googleadsense, Am affs and TCB Refs.

I don't do much about it, I don't court any advertisers or accept people's cash to blog about their items.

I think making a proper income from a blog takes much more effort than people realise. Its a long game.

If you are looking for a bigger income, I'd seriously recommend getting on the Match Betting (but only match betting) as you should be able to get £50 a week from that without risking anything. Its also 100% tax free.

Thanks will have a look at the tool kit. I did try and do matched betting for a bit but didn't get very far even though I have got accounts with most of the companies as I didn't know what I was doing properly and once managed to lose £80, its the liability thing that I find difficult to get my head round. Also dont understand the more complicated bits like ACCAs, wish I could get my head round it all though

MB can be confusing.

The key is to keep it simple. Do 'normal' offers and reloads without venturing into anything with actual risk.

However, as @Jon says, use the toolkit and you can get plenty without even doing MB.

:)

It is hard and it isn't overnight however because the earning potential is LIMITLESS I personally believe it's worth pursuing with!

What other online career gives you the opportunity to write about your passion week in week out and earn from it?
