Hi!

What is your best affiliate marking program and why?

I am looking to do some affiliate marketing with Pinterest on general retail (clothes, home items). I am signed up to Amazon Affiliates but would like to sign up to another affiliate program. I've been reading reviews on various others and cannot find many (any!) with positive feedback. Was thinking Awin was one of the biggest but they seem to have a lot of negative reviews but I am still willing to give them a go as I think folk on here use them? Would really appreciate hearing which ones work for you and which you would prefer to forget! Thanks!

I've had GREAT success with Awin and I know MANY bloggers who also have. It's not the programme that's the problem is making sure that the pitch is right for the demographic you are entertaining

Thanks, Jon. Think I'll prob give them a go. It's for Pinterest so I won't be doing ad links all the time as I don't want to be too spammy. Awin seems to be ok for social media. Do you know if the affiliate link can be given in full rather than a tiny url (think this might be one of the rules for Piinterest)?

Yeah you can. It's just me who uses TinyURL for them. They normally appear as as full URL

Ah, super. Think they might be the one for me to try.
They are very easy to work with. Find the company you want to promote, apply, then put in the links.. that's it!

I'll second @Jon with AWIN - it's the first network I check when looking for affiliate programs and in my experience their support is fantastic if you need any help :)

aye they are ace

You just have to accept that sometimes companies / clients move from affiliate company to affiliate company and it can be a bit of a pain when it comes to updating all your links around the web!

Been thinking of doing the same thing - interested to know how you’re getting on with this?

Hi @emcherry . I've actually not progressed much as I've been busy with the family in the lead up to Christmas but I'm intending to clear the decks and take this on seriously in the new year. I'm going to get a proper plan in place for long and short term online work and set some goals but will definitely be featuring Pinterest as I really enjoy pinning anyway. I'll update when I start getting somewhere!

Sounds exciting. Goals are the easy thing to set i always think it's the achieving part of them that's hard. I could say I want to earn '£1000 before the end of 2019 via TopCashBack signups' but how I go about hitting that target can end up taking you on all sorts of little sub journeys and you find out what works well and what doesn't in your affiliate marketing journey!
