I would say 99% of our Amazon Prime Now deliveries get made by people who are also Uber drivers and doing this on the side lol

Yeah Jon, a lot of the big carriers like DHL, UPS,Yodel etc all use taxi drivers and general public in cars/vans same as Flex

Hi pepsi9983 have you took a shift yet with Amazon?
I’m in NI as well but a bit rural North Down area. Where are you?
Let me know how you got on please as interested myself. Is it worth doing.
Thanks Chris

Pretty disappointing to read all this. You'd have thought a company the size of Amazon would be all over this!!

HI Chris,

I thought I'd update you on Amazon Flex in Northern Ireland. Personally I wouldn't recommend it for a number of reasons (I accepted a block today and below was what I experienced):

I arrived 5 minutes too early to an empty yard full of high viz vest wearers!

I had no ID with me yet all that information including drivers licence was submitted to Amazon when I was completing my application. Therefore I was unable to complete the block.

One very arrogant and grumpy man in the yard - he appeared to be the chief of operations.

Amazon support don't appear to understand the Northern Ireland accent.

The Amazon Flex yard doesn't appear to be a slick operation. I was in it for all of 10 minutes but too be honest I'm glad to not have done a delivery.

Don't let the above put you off trying a block however I don't think it would be worth doing in Northern Ireland especially if you live in a rural area.

If you want any more information, send me a PM as there are some pieces of information I don't want to post on a public forum.

Julie
Crikey that’s not a great experience is it!!

Is there anywhere else you could work from or does it have to be THAT distribution centre?

Thanks for the info.

Sorry to hear about the bad experience. I’m giving it a miss, just too many bad reviews.
