I was just wondering if anyone has signed up to do amazon flex before on here and what the general work is like? Ive just had all my checks cleared so am ready to go, I’ve signed up to do a slot tomorrow and am wondering what to expect as you do hear some bad stories about working for amazon but hoping it might be different as self employed work.
Also wondering if financially it is worth it? The slot I’ve signed up to do tomorrow is £52 pay, but my worry is the station is 45 miles way so looking at £10-£15 fuel cost getting there and back and that’s without cost of fuel for driving whilst the deliveries are being made. I live in Birmingham and signed up to do East Midlands as they didn’t have any vacancies in west Midlands but they seem to have put my region as West Midlands so works out a lot better for me tbh.
another question I had was when the slots tend to first go up every week?Saw somewhere it was Friday afternoon?
I’m hoping this can be a valuable source of income as I’m leaving my job later this week to start a different job more of a career move but I’m going to be quite a lot worse of financially so hoping if I can do this a few times a week can make a decent amount of extra money
