I'm not posting this is Matched Betting section as it's not risk free but does anyone have any experience of following sports tipsters and if so how did it go for them.

There are a lot of services you can pay it seems to get access to their knowledge and I know people who have made a great amount of money year on year through doing this.

As an example

and

I followed a few free ones for a while, didn't place any bets just watched their results. Went through a good spell then a bad spell and more or less evened out. I never committed any money to it in the end.

I’ve just recently started following the one on sky bet. I check their tips and cross match with the time form on betfair. I think the same as @homie in that it evens out over time. Today there was a 9/1 tip for the featured bet365 race which won. Sadly I was in a meeting and couldn’t check the lay odds to see if it was worth it, so just stuck £1.50 on it, to round my balance up, so made my cash for today. I know that’s a bit naughty...

OK well

I am doing a 3 day Journey here to see how this all plays out

I'm using - https://www.martinbishopracing.co.uk/free-horse-racing-tips/

What I'm worried about
The fact a lot of tipsters I look at don't use SSL on their website and then ask for money for their membership services!!!

What doesn't surprise me
As soon as you sign up to one you get given the chance to sign up to Bet365/WilliamHill etc to make sure you get the best odds. These tipsters are clearly using affiliate links and earning a BUNDLE from those as well!

My starting pot is £15

Today's tips were

Day 1
15:30 Kelso - Highland Hunter - 4.33 - £6 Stake WON
16:05 Kelso - Shantaluze - 2.20 - £6 Stake WON
Profit £39.20

This is really interesting. I don’t feel quite as bad now!! How long are you going to “test” this for? @Jon

You need to trial any tipster for at least a month to see true results and also stick to a staking plan. I’ve followed a few in the past and have one going atm.

Matt on matchedbettingblog.com keeps plugging a tipster called Bet Alchemist. They have an offer that they will refund your subscription if you dont make a profit by the end of the year. Of course you have to keep the subscription for the whole year to be able to do that, so you have to be committed to it. Don't have enough confidence in it to try it myself. Will stick to my risk free MB money.

Do they still give a tip of the day on radio 4? That was free!
