Question / Discussion Anyone know how to get in to Pinecone Research?

Hi

Just wondering if anybody has any tips for being able to sign up to Pinecone Research please? I've been trying for months but there never seems to be any opportunities opening up.

When I joined a few years ago now you had to click on a banner ad to join them but not sure if it's still the same.

I had to wait for quite a while after I registered an interest. I cant remember the last time I had anything from them though.

I tried to join Pinecone Research just after in entered the Shed. I clicked and clicked on links and all that happened was that I kept ending up on Opinion Outpost. So I joined that instead.

I have had a look at Pinecones FAQ's and under General Participation I have found this:

Do you recruit new members through your website or take referrals?
Presently, we do not recruit new members through our website or take unsolicited referrals. However, we will be posting recruitment opportunities through banner ads on various unsolicited websites from time to time throughout the year. If you see one of these ads, please feel free to sign up with us.

Glad I didn't hold my breath. I suggest you join Opinion Outpost too

Ive been with them so long I cant remember how I joined. It is a slow burner - normally the odd survey a month. So not really missing much.

From memory I joined via a link from PMP and also get around 1 per month, in fact I've just this minute done one.

Someone put a link on here for it about 3 years ago, when I joined. I've never seen another one since. They don't recruit often. I get the impression they have a lot more people than they have surveys for.

For a whole £3 a month it's really not the holy grail of survey sites people think it is lol

I have seen a couple of invitations on other sites but I have never been in the required demographic. Other sites like prolific and populuslive probably pay better and have more frequent surveys.

I joined Pinecone when I was a student, around 15 years ago (trying to make a bit of extra beer money!) via a link from the Moneysavingexpert forum. I lasted about a year - you're supposed to tell them if you go on holiday and can't do surveys, which I didn't. I got removed after missing too many surveys - no great loss as I never made more than £3 a month from them.

I have been doing Pinecone surveys for years and never had to tell them when I'm away. I only get one or two surveys a month so I don't think they would do that now
