How lovely is all this. ;D

I think I'm late to the party, but I don't think my microphone is working. I tried to use it last week for something and couldn't get it to work.

But great to see all these opportunities. 8)

I seem to recall from when I used to have time to go to parties, that the end part was often the most entertaining ???

Good day for TMS again. Lots of people sharing oppprtunities with other members, all giving them the chance to earn some extra cash!

It's interesting that I have never really seen anyone being unkind to anyone on this forum ever. Yes, we cross-examine each other sometimes about our activities (and some people even post pyramid images ::)), but it is never insulting or offensive. I wonder if that would change if the forum got much bigger? I hope not. Life's too short to be a complete **** to people on the internet.
That's what I love about this site too. There's another similar, bigger site that I quite like but the one thing that spoils that site is I notice a few of the more established posters can be quite patronising and nasty to some of the newbies which can put people off posting. I hope this site remains as supportive and welcoming as it is now however large it gets.

Yep, there was some pretty unpleasant bullying coming from the "firework noise Avon person" yesterday.
Absolutely no need for it.

PS. What is the world record for the number of quotes contained in a single forum post? ;D

Do you get a 10p discount?

You'd be in the minority. You wouldn't believe what people pay £2.50 for.

Have you got a mic you can plug in so you can do the work?

Is it possible that in control panel the built in mic is not set as the primary one?

Um...I filled in the form and clicked the link to proceed....the next step says I should see a 'user identifier field' at the top of the screen but I only have a box that says 'participant policy en-GB (int). your response has been recorded'....nothing else on the screen... !

You don't fill anything in until you have done it and you then go to the link at the bottom of page 3 and fill in MY details

Can you post up a screenshot?

Do you have an android phone with chrome on that you could try it with?

Or maybe a different laptop?

I'm not on my laptop at the moment so can't see if it's the website that is having issues or your laptop setup

Ok, so I did the Appen thingy - a bit boring, but not that bad.
I suppose, as a lawyer, I'm used to talking nonsense all day anyway ;)

The only slightly awkward thing was wondering whether or not my colleagues could hear me through the door of my office!

What is the error rate allowed? I notice that some of the words might be difficult for some people to pronounce and what happens if a couple of your recordings are cut off etc? There didn't seem to be any facility for going back and doing one again.
