I'm the same. I have lots of projects waiting - 12 in total. Im on lots of projects that seem not to have guaranteed work on it - one project puts work up but I don't get an email saying there's new work and if your not quick it then vanishes.

I've done the one you're talking about. There's no way I could have done it in one minute, I really would slow down a little bit if I were you.
I thought they said we would be emailed on a weekly basis with feedback? I have slowed down now but hopefully they do or they approve the invoice so I know if what I am doing now is good enough!

you will get the feedback on the weekend either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night. Make sure you are following the guidelines and you should be ok.

Is this an OK Google style task?
Im not sure I basically listen to people talking and write down what they say. But not to sure if worth doing. Batches of work is random generated and few and far between that I get any work.

I didn't get any and my invoice was approved so it looks like it is all good in the hood!

I am going to be in Florida two weeks so I believe I am not allowed to work in this project while in there but I have been trying to contact them via the chat, forum, raising a ticket and sending an email to let them know so I am not penalised but.. no luck! G, they are difficult to get hold these people aren't they??

LISTEEEEEEN!!! I am from Barcelona although I have been living in the UK for over 6 years now... apparently it was over 45 back home last week!!!
I am going all over... it is my stepmom's 50th so we are surprising her there: my two 17 and 21yo sisters, my husband and I will be going to the Keys, Miami, Orlando to Universal Studios and we have then rented a house in Ft Myers that will make me feel like a Kardashian! My husband is from the US and studied in Orlando so he's not THAT excited about being there in the middle of July but I cannot wait! Any recs?? I have read your Florida posts like a thousand times already and have been there twice myself but I can 100% say it is my favourite place in the world, no doubt.

Appen at it again

Hello Jonathan,

We would like to remind you that Appen is currently collecting UK English voice recordings (iOS) that will be used to improve speech recognition technologies – you can still participate!

This task is very easy. All you need to do is record yourself reading the prompts exactly as displayed on the screen. For this, you will be using our Appen AMR app on your iOS Apple device (iPhone or iPad).

Each session has 300 prompts to record and should take you between 20-30 minutes to complete. For this project you can record as many sessions as you want with your PIN. You will be compensated for every recording that has passed our quality checks.

To participate in the project, you must:
- Be a native speaker of UK English
- Be 18 years or older
- Use an Apple iOS device (iPhone or iPad)

You will receive USD$8.4 for each successfully completed session that passes our quality checks. This corresponds to USD$16.80 per hour. For every successful recording you will be paid USD$0.028. You will need to be able to complete 1800 recordings per week to participate, which amounts to roughly 3 hours.

Ive got this one too. Working on it but not to sure how long this one will last.

Update to day this one seems to be finished now. Unless they add more prompts later on.

Hi all,

I'm applying for a few projects on Appen. I remember seeing somewhere the maximum weekly/monthly amount of hours we're allowed to invoice for but it's been a month so naturally I've forgotten. Appen don't seem to make a lot of information readily available.

Could someone jog my memory please?

I think it might depend on what project you are working on. with Web Search Evaluator work you can do as much as you want. With other projects they may not be the case.

Has anyone successfully qualified for the Pecwan project? I feel like I have the guidelines tattooed into my eyelids but still manage to fail the quiz each time!

I feel a bit the same with pecwan! I feel I have more luck picking lottery numbers...I have tried the practice ones but got nowhere...I feel you have got to think the same as them and if you don't you dont pass the test. It's crazy.

Ive just done the real test and got no where near the pass mark so think I will be giving this one a miss.

My first attempt got 25% ....need 80 or 85 to pass!! The image quality tripped me up a million times!
Glad I'm not alone ... was starting to feel completely incompetent!!

Now have a Son in Law, and have become the 'dreaded' Mother in Law. Many congratulations to Hazel and Matt who got married on 10th August, at the Centre for Alternative Technology, Machynlleth, North Wales. It was a fab weekend away and the most unconventional but personal wedding ever!
