He everyone,

Just thinking of doing some work for Appen but wondering if you can use PayPal or do you have to use Payoneer?

I use PayPal - I know people who have been stung with charges for using Payoneer.

Hi All

I am a Newbie and have been lurking for around a month. I have found some great ideas on here and am currently working my way through them to learn which ones work for me. I noticed on the Working from Home toolkit (fantastic information, thank you), that there was a link for some work with Appen doing voice recordings. It says it is available until November 2019, however when i click on the link, it says 'page cannot be found'. Does this mean that the job is no longer available?

Also, any help with making money online would be greatly appreciated :) I am working my way through the posts and blogs etc, but i feel a little overwhelmed as to how i can make some of the sums of money you guys do.

Thanks in advance

Cozzy

Hi @Cozzy30

Fantastic to have you on here and posting.

Firstly, thanks for pointing out the Appen link isn't working. They must have changed something at their end but either way I've changed it now so it works ;) ( https://appen.com/careers/ )

In terms of earning the sort of money you see talked about on here you need to look into higher paying work so the likes of

uTest
Web Search Evaluator Work
Smartphone Task apps (bemyeye, roamler etc.)
Risk Free Matched Betting

That's around £1000+ a month if income right there which might be enough for you (depends how much you are looking to earn each month)

Thank so much for your reply Jon. I will click on the link and see if i can get on the speech recognition job now. £38 would certainly be a great start and i have seen on here that they seem to offer more work after the initial one is completed.

£1000 extra a month would be amazing!! I will have a look at the ones you have suggested. I have already signed up to a couple such as Prolific and utest, so hopefully i can get the ball rolling. I have also applied to Appen, so i am hoping that will come to something.

Fingers crossed to making a decent extra income. :)

Matched Betting is FAR easier 'done' than 'read'.

You are best off clicking the banner above and doing the FREE TRIAL with Profit Accumulator. You'll make around £45 risk free while having your hand held throughout and you can then decide if it's for you or not.

If you just endlessly read about it can seem 1000x more confusing than it actually is!

Thanks again for the advice Jon :) I will definitely give Profit Accumulator ago

@Jon if Cozzy30 started the free trial this week, he/she would still have time to go for the half price offer they have on until the end of January - IF they able to do both, I cannot remember? Perhaps you could clarify and advise them?

aye if the offer if on until the end of January they could.

I mean if it was up to me I would just pay the £8 and then get full access to all the offers as at WORST case you've wasted £8 seeing if something is for you and at best you will be open to £1000 odd of sign up offers ;)

I just got a survey invite through and completed it. Is there anywhere for you to say how you want to get paid? I can't see anywhere I can put in my Paypal address?

Normally I’ve been paid by them via PayPal or payoneer

Maybe you select your payment method after the survey has been done

They should send you an email for you to set it up once they have approved the survey, mine came through today with the link on my page. I took the survey on Thursday.

I'm thinking of signing up for ABH. My time is very variable, although should have a bit more time for the next 3 months. If I only have a few months (worst case scenario), is this advisable?

I was also confused by their site. When you go on you seem to have to choose between "Raters" and "Microtasks" and not really sure what the difference between the two is?

Thanks for any advice!

Raters work is generally paid 'by the hour' and above the UK minimum wage.

Microtasks is generally 'ad hoc' work with variable pay

With either you login and work whenever you want to

I've just been accepted on a task, starting Monday, should be able to earn around £400 per month as a Rater. Its definitely worth a look, it took about 2/3 weeks to get asked onto the task but I think that's pretty quick & depends on the task .
