Dear all,

I’ve been looking at fun ways to make a bit of spare cash and apps where you play games to earn.

Most as you imagine are a little boring but there are some gems.

These are all free to play and use

1. Dig that gold: all you have to do is play and get to the level to fill up your gold bar and they will actually send you a block of gold! The games getting harder I’m not quite there yet!

2. TvSmiles: this is a quiz game, correct answers get you points. You can also get points for downloading apps. The prizes seem to have disappeared by the time I collected enough points but I got a quick Paypal payment.

3. HQ: real time quiz. Twice a day and more in the states. Answer correctly and progress. If you make it to the end you share the pot with the winners.

Referral code ‘ScaryHair100’

4. Fish for money: just got this one. Looks like it takes a lot of time to save up and there are sooooo many adverts but can easily waste a few moments.

Edit:

5. Snatch: I forgot to app this one! Been playing for a few weeks. Yet to earn actually money but picked up quite a few discounts. Kinda like Pokemon go but with parcels. You can also steal or ‘snatch’ parcels from others. Aim is to keep the parcels till they unlock ( 6hours) if you snatch them they don’t require as much time can vary from a few mins to a few hours.

Referral code: 1LW732

There seem to be a number of others where you earn credit for downloading apps but it itself isn’t really a game.

Looking for more so would love to know your thoughts.

Never heard of the first two you've mentioned @ScaryHair100 - Have you heard much from them?

I've heard of dig that gold, but never tried it because I assumed it was another one of those apps that promises a lot and provides very little/nothing. It'd be good to hear if it's actually worth having a look at.

Cash Show is same as HQ but pays higher and you earn on every correct answer after Q5.. I have won twice on HQ.. £7 odds first then £4 odds, havent won on Cash Show but have built £17 odds so far... I suppose if your looking for fun apps, you could try Pickle... you can get paid for anything and everything on there (mostly silly dares) but i did once take someone their handbag they left in a pub LOL.. there is a £50 dare, a £40 dare, a £30 one and if your mental enough to eat a clove of garlic someone will give you a tenner LOL

Thanks @mabozza do you have a cash show referral code. I can use yours and maybe you’ll get a free life or something?

Hi @Jon

I’ll let you know if dig that gold works out. Regarding tv smiles, I think it’s an American company because it pays in dollars. Not too many adverts and it does take a while to build up but cashed out $50 last year.

The first one looks quite interesting. I've tried Fish for Money before. It took quite a while to get enough points to earn anything but it is legit and not a bad game.

TVSmiles used to be really good, used to pay in £ and it was quite small payout thresholds. And then an american company took them over. Good to pop on for a few moments though if you're not doing anything (bored on train, waiting for bus, etc.) but does take a while to build up :)
