I've just started the 2000 one and have just had one 'upload failed' - do you just carry on until you have 2000 successful uploads? Have emailed but they are very slow to reply...

I got this a few times (and I messed a few up, stuttering etc) so I carried on and just did a few extra on the end. I also did the 1000 words task. A few failed with no audio on that but it cut off as soon as I got to 1000 so I couldn't do any extra.

Thanks. I've done the same and added a couple of hundred on at the end - I wasn't sure whether to but the system didn't stop me! Do they come back to you on the failed ones if you haven't made the required target?

On the first task, recording 1000 phrases, there were at least 30 that didn't record properly I only recorded 1000 as it didn't let me do more, and my payment has been approved, so with an extra couple of hundred on top, you will be fine! (I only did an extra 100 on top of my 2000, but I messed a few up and had a few "no audio" errors)

My android can be a bit dodgy and crash with the use of some apps, I was hoping this task would allow you to use the PC again?

I could have sworn that someone said they'd had a warning message but I've looked through the thread and my messages and I can't find it.... apologies if you didn't say that at all!

Did you listen back to the recordings and check it was all OK?

[member=143]auntygeek[/member] I've just started this and all my recording are very clear except on every single one there is a little break like static so mostly they are coming up with the possible problems detected message, but a couple don't have that message but personally sound worse to me. Do you think this will be okay? Also 2/10 have failed to upload so do I need to keep note of how many don't work so I keep going over the 1000 recordings? Thanks

I was going to rerecord at the end but the task shuts off automatically at 1000 recordings so just do as well as you can and don't worry about it

Okay I'm at 100 and still only a few come up as completely successfully yet I'm doing them the same as the others. Hadn't even moved. Hopefully it'll all be okay

Are you talking about the % message? If so, try leaving a tiny bit less time at the end, also, if you have a touch pad mouse then use that, instead of clicking just tap so its not leaving a noise at the end.

Yeah. I've tried all sorts of variations. Sometimes leaving a gap at the end worked, other times stopping it straight away worked and other times that % message came up when I'd done the exact same thing for the last few and it had been fine. It did start giving me more successful but still a lot that weren't. I've done over the 1000 now as had to restart it, so should that be okay now?

[member=143]auntygeek[/member] I've done 1017 in total. Did I read right that you are going to complete the form part at the end of it?

I just re-read the instructions and it said if it says 'xx % is hard zero' or whatever the message is, that can just mean your mic is extra sensitive or your environment is really quiet so if you've played them back and they sound fine then not to worry at all

1000 is this task. Send them over when you can and I'll chase payment for you - it should be fine I'll keep you updated.

Gutted I missed out. Them tasks was loooong. Can't believe I entered the code wrong, totally missed it in the email. I just thought code.. numbers. Oh well :-[
