Nice spot.
Hourly rates pretty decent too

We should have a tms contest using their typing speed tester software?

I was useless - can't type under pressure it seems! :-\

Funny how I can type perfectly well when the ideas are coming into my own head, but copying from screen or transcribing other people's audio is a very different issue.
Must be some deep and complex neurological explanation.

I ended up frantically trying to find F9! I have a whole new level of respect for typists now

Very cool.

I got 100% accuracy and typing speed of 56wpm on the test. Which is not quite as high as they want but I was being careful not to make any typos.

I passed tests at other (less well paid) transcribing sites so quite interested in this.

I like transcribing because I have a good memory (just can't remember the press F9 or whatever button it is for pause). Still can't ever do it in four times the audio time though. Probably more like six. Still, it's all good experience and I'd imagine any of us doing this would improve dramatically.

Thanks for this Jon, I will definitely apply, did my RSA 3 in audio although those were the days when you used a tape, foot pedal and headset! Sounds right up my street so will have a bash - hoping my skills aren't too rusty now though!!

Ah, I've completed all the tests up to the actual audio one. And it's hard. 30 minutes have passed and I've completed about 4 minutes of audio. Oh dear. That leaves an hour to complete 14 more minutes.

Can you start and stop this test at various stages or do I need a straight hour to do it all in one go..

Am off to watch Leeds Rhinos tonight ;) - Wanted to see if I could fit it in but may be best to wait until tomorrow if I need to do it all in one go

Hi Jon yes, I think you can, I've just passed the accuracy stage and now I've got some downloaded information to read before I try the transcription so yes, you can take your time it appears.

Bear with it hopefully we will be joining you soon. I guess they are more interested in knowing we have read and understood the guidelines and that they are being followed to begin with. Good luck...
