Hi guys
Looking for a bit of advice
I have done a couple of eligibility checkers for credit cards for balance transfers, got 2 or 3 giving me same 9/10 score for likelihood of acceptance.
The eligibility checker has a slider with how much i want to transfer and over what period, so i want to throw £5000 from 3 cards over 36 months.
is there any way to check if the credit limit would cover the 5 grand? as nowhere on the credit cards application page does it mention the limit. If i went for it and got the card and it only offered say £1000 that would be no use to me, since i would still be paying 4 grand plus interest on the balance i couldnt transfer. Or does it work then that i would transfer a grand, pay £200 a month clearing that and then transfer another grand and so on? (As i understand it though, balance transfers need to be done in first 60 days or so... help!

I would imagine during the application process you will be able to say how much credit you want limit wise.

I may be a case that the 'pre checking' doesn't cover this bit which is why people can do it without it having a knock on effect with their credit score
