Hi guys,
I can't see a thread on here about earning something extra via switching banks, so I thought I'd start one.
I appreciate this would be seen as far too much work for most people; although there are some articles out there in the mainstream press that have some pretty promising tales of serial switchers e.g. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/personal-banking/current-accounts/the-best-bank-account-switching-offers/ & http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/banking/2016/03/i-made-800-switching-bank-again-and-again-is-this-britains-biggest-bank-tart
Personally, I currently bank with Nationwide using one of their rubbish A/Cs that pays no interest.
I'm planning to switch soon, pick up some extra cash and then return to Nationwide's FlexDirect as it's one of the few A/Cs still paying 5%AER (although this drops to 1% after 12months, when it'll be time to switch again).
Oh, and there's cashback on offer via both TCB https://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/lukeinlufbra& Quidco http://www.quidco.com/user/4826658/2266893/.
In the meantime, if anyone was going to switch to Nationwide anyway & they want an extra £100 through their refer a friend policy then give me a shout.
N.B. If you're about to arrange a (re)mortgage, then switching may impact your credit rating, so do be careful.
