I’ve just downloaded it. I had my first one come through, someone wants a packet of cigarettes and it says if I deliver it (6 miles away) by 5:30 I get £13. My dad can’t understand who would pay me the £13 to deliver it, he thinks it’s a con. What’s the answer please guys? :)
Very much NOT a con... i have been doing Beelivery for years... your dad is absolutely right... it amazes me that people will pay so much more (in normal circumstances especially)... This week i have had over £200 (one today was a bottle of wine and 1 and a half bottles of Vodka ..cost £24, 7 minute drive and paid £25 (plus get lots of tips)TBH when i dont have prescriptions to deliver i should really go home, but most are on while am doing the pharmacy work and absolutely we should all be staying home, but, as i am being classed as a key worker doing pharmacy work i dont feel so naughty really

Should add ...in these special times it is probably 5 to 10 times busier than it normally is, many people dont want to go out, or are unable to... the supermarkets have waiting lists of weeks to get a home delivery... In "normal" times the app is used by people with a disability a lot, and gets a peak late at night in weekends for booze and fags and sweets LOL ... A lot of drivers on it are guys out delivering takeaways etc... For anyone who is using the app alongside their work they will all be being very careful when doing a shop.... gloves, only touch what you are buying, drop at door and chap it and stand clear etc...

Thank you, the tasks seem to expire really quickly. What happens if you can’t get the items they’ve ordered?

Its fastest finger first... have seen jobs come on the app and nabbed before i could even open it to see... You can get alternatives if you cant find the exact thing, on the job it has the customers phone number, i call them to give options, or you can call Beelivery from the app if really stuck... TBH i have never had one that you just cant get the item or an alternative (easiest using supermarkets than small shops due to their wider range of options) but there is the option on the app to state you couldnt buy it anyway... you can also try more than one shop if you can be bothered and just photo both receipts in one pic

Do lots of these tasks tend to be local? cos I live close to a town centre and could easily do errands.
The default setting is i think 8 miles from your registered postcode, so you will only see jobs within that range... you can register more than one postcode.. to widen your catchment and you can get range extended to i think 22 miles by contacting Beelivery.... i think fairly new to it is geofencing too, a few months ago i got an alert while near Stoke (300 miles from home) a job 3 miles from my position

I signed up for this earlier today and two notifications came in within an hour. One very nearby paying £6 and one a bit further away paying £23 but that was for a lot of items from a supermarket. Couldnt do these today - but when Shepper work comes back online itll be worth having this app for the days I have a few miles brtween jobs

Could you get away with doing this without being out the house for other things? So only going out to do these calls? Or would you get fined by the police if caught?

No I don't think so. Somebody from my work was stopped just for doing the shopping that he normally does for my work. There was just a request for an £80-£100 shop on there! It was paying almost £30 which is great however I did a shop for my family yesterday for only £60 and it took at least an hour with queuing outside then inside then lots of stock not being there. I could no way be bothered getting somebody elses £100 shop! Not even for £30!

It would depend really on how forceful the cops are. I was chatting with a cop 2 days ago, as i was delivering someone in their homes prescription... I asked if working for apps etc was ok he said yes no problem, it is no different to the Just Eat/Deliveroo ..Takeaway guys doing their work.. Its classed as work which makes it ok to be out as long as social distancing/common sense is applied... now thats not official by any means but it would make sense

Which shop did you go to? The Tesco and Co-op by me are so busy.

I’m quite lucky there’s a Martin’s newsagents down the road from me, but they didn’t have the right sized milk or the Lockets, so I went to a SPAR which is also just at the end of my street, they were both quiet to be fair.

There’s no way I would queue to get into the big supermarkets.

I’ve been doing these for the past few months and it’s saving my mental health. A reason to get up, dressed properly and out the door. I’m in a pretty quiet area so jobs are few and far between- I’ve taken the two jobs that have come up in my area today but there were zero over the weekend. Just hope no one else in my area catches on

Have you tried the task apps? I know they’re not running at the moment but before lockdown they were helping me with my mental health, helping me keep busy.

Any in particular? I can’t for the life of me get Gigwalk to work on my phone, the app won’t load at all. I’m up to date with updates and have a new phone ‍♀️

Gigwalk isn't the best. Roamler, Shepper and BeMyEye are great. Hopefully they will be just as good after Covid-19 is over.

I’ve got all those, my faves too. My area is too rural to rely on regular work from them though.
Back to Beelivery, I can’t believe the amount people pay for stuff! My last delivery gave me £11.58 (inc £1 bonus) and the order was for a £14.50 pouch of tobacco. Customer would have paid £25+ for it! Crazy
