Take note is a popular place to “ply your trade” I had a go at the entrance exam a while back and managed to hit the WPM target but doing the actual 4 minutes of transcribing was tough

Well I have a background in secretarial/pa work so I've been typing as long as I can remember. Just been accepted for work with PeoplePerHour so will see how my skills have held up, been a long time since I've worked in that sector but I'm on the computer every day so I know my typing is ok!
If you decide to take this up I can see the advantage of something like a foot pedal to help move the audio backwards and forwards all the time as leaving the keyboard to keep moving the mouse and click to rewind will really take it out of your WPM

I do loads of transcription work. Crowdsurf is definitely the easiest one to pass the tests for and get working quickly but the pay is peanuts, although you can be paid the same day if you need it! Take Note pay the best, are UK based and their staff support is fab. Payment is monthly with these!

I have done a few transcription jobs with Rev.com but its low pay and I found the work difficult as a lot of the audio was bad. Not done any for awhile now as I did not enjoy the work.
Do you think you would enjoy it more if the pay was higher and the audio was better? I have to say from what I experienced with TakeNote it was very clear audio when doing their work

Yes I would have liked it more if the audio was clearer, they had a lot of background noise and foreign accents, it was taking me ages just to do a 5 min file. I did like the set up on Rev where you could pick your work and preview the job before accepting and they paid on time weekly.
