12 done.. none local left... note to self.. dodge the Superdrug ones!! Extra questions.. nightmare to do... all in all first time doing a load of blades in over a year.. they look no real difference on BME .. my previous fastest time in to out was 12 mins... did 3 in 10 mins each so maybe they are a tad easier on BME?

OK I will miss Task360 and was a bit apprehensive about BME but I did like the countdown to blades appearing. Much better than randomly refreshing the app. Managed to get one in my area (rather than the usual 2, someone without an iPhone is on my patch)!
It's just been approved so much quicker too, as are payments to PayPal.

There was a countdown?? LOL... I was indeed doing the aforementioned refresh, refresh, refresh dance LOL.. the ONLY gripe i have was, when i used to do them my first one is always the local Wilko and i would be instore at the blades ready and the second it was 4pm i was starting,...now with having to take shop front pic first meant i lost a couple of mins to walk to blades... THEN... i realised by my 3rd that no longer was it a mere 2 hours to get them done i had in fact 5 or 6 hours!! so i took my time a bit more than i used to (no running back to the car and driving like a BMW owner LOL).. Seen a few fairly near ones pop back on that must have been dropped or rejected, so those are tomorrows targets... @Cas nothing new there really thats what they always did, except now more people will have had a few than the hoarders would have done

I keep wanting to do these, but keep putting it off when I read the details of the BME tasks. Are they as indepth as the insturctions make them sound? Or is it easier than it looks?

I’m level 5 and could start at 4pm
Think there was a wee tech anomaly that got fixed really quickly to allow all to reserve from 3 for 4pm... as lots were on the FB page to complain about the 5pm start

Well no they certainly arent as simple as any general task that would be on T360, but they arent awful... takes 10-15 mins depending on how well you know the questions and the shop.. you will be asked is this product here (with a pic of the product to help) yes move on, if there is a gap with a price tag take a pic, if not move on.. do that for maybe 10 products, then a question about type of shelf/hook and any protection, then answer if real or dummy blades, then find the ladies and do same maybe 6 product.... thats it

Yeah agree definitely far more users going by the amount of "What are blades" posts on BME pages LOL... Think up my way there is only 3 users, someone that i know used to hoard almost all but always left the boots/superdrugs in the city centre, which someone did eventually grab and thats how it panned out today but i was in doing them too for a change

Don't know if people have seen but you can reserve tonight for tomorrow if there are any left in your area - on level 20 it gives you till 3pm.

Haven't had any approved yet and got less than I normally do due to new users. Some took the same time to do apart from in Asda and Tesco where there were loads out of stock so had to do a photo for each one.

Its only a max reserve of 5, you can do any amount.. i did 12 which is the most i ever managed on blades on a friday, you reserve 5, do one, reserve another and so on. And now we arent having to do the headless chicken thing in under 2 hours, having about 6 hrs to complete is miles better

We all have our strategies Mabozza - some like the slow pace - others work well working to tighter deadlines and having a route.
Having only 2 hours to do a task actually makes you limit what you book and you keep to a certain radius.
Those that say a 5 shop limit fairer are not being honest - they often have at least 2-3 phones and book a lot of tasks. To make things worse they can now with BME hold onto those tasks for 6 hrs.
This BME system where most people only have one phone will mean there will be a lot more tasks left undone - -especially when coupled with their high rejection rates. Point proven yesterday- there were so many tasks left on the system.
BME should remember they are working for the client to get tasks done quickly and are not part of a socialist system to give everyone a fair chance. Balance is needed - if they cant completely replicate Task360 system at least meet them halfway.
We will see how it pans out. Don't see this 5 shop limit lasting for long esp for blades - no way they will get all shops done within 4 hr windows. When their bottom line drops maybe they will take notice.
The Task 360 app was so simple to use -there is a gap in the market - perhaps Field Agent will step up again - tempted to start my own mystery shop app using same design - lol -

The 2 hour limit made people overbook (hoard) the tasks, then after 2 hours they dropped and regrabbed them, this was a huge bug bear for T360 who hated users doing it but had no way to deter it, now on BME users can only reserve 5 (sure they can use more than 1 phone... bit extreme, but most won't/don't). Looking from around my area, last blades day, all tasks were gone within minutes.... yesterday all were gone within a couple of hours by 8pm the exact same result as on T360 in that all tasks done, only difference being more people were doing them, not just the greedy ones hogging all.. On T360 i would have been lucky to nab maybe 2 if i was fast enough to beat the local hoarder, yesterday i got 12, highest ever amount on a friday.. no rejections, all approved and money in my account already. BME only reject when users do it wrong/don't read the brief.. think on my 377 completed BME jobs i have had 5 returned/rejected... (And upon appeal i think all got reviewed and accepted)T360 rejected jobs done wrongly too

I don't think hoard is the right word Mabozza - if they couldn't complete the tasks surely they would appear on the app again. I never saw huge swathes suddenly reappearing at 6pm.
If BME are worried about hoarding then this is what the point system should be for. You get penalized if you don't complete a taskand get locked out for a day etc. This is something easy to do - simple software tweak would sort it.
I think they could benefit from good User Experience Design - at the moment they are only thinking about themselves and not the users.

This monoply created by BME will not be good in the short term or longterm. You just have to look at the facebook group to see the deep concerns of experienced Task360ers about the limited tasks, poor battery life when using the app, rejections etc.

I predict another disruptive app to come along soon. ;) Monopolies are a thing of the past.

Oh it was defiitely hoarding. When i started T360 i was only user up here then suddenly i noticed only on blades..all local jobs going at 3pm...then reappearing at 6 for a minutet then gone..this happened all over UK ..T360 really hated this as they got loads of complaints. They did startt to ban users that did it which only lasted a month or 2 then it all started again. The only ones complaining have been non BME users that were T360 users... those of us that been doung both for years had a wee bit of concern in the lead up but it has gone seamlessly.. there is barely any left (in fact in whole if Scotland was only 2 tasks ungrabbed earlier... normally they run to a monday up here) The Iphone issues with BME is unfortunate yes but they will iron that out in time... or people could do reverse of what i and hundreds did in getting a cheap Iphone just for T360 and get a wee Android phone till its fixed. I agree now only having 2 worthwhile apps isnt great but thats the way it seems to be... this year i am earning far more than this point past few years.... so maybe its not so bad?... it is unfortunate that T360 was a bit more (too?) lenient and users now have to do tasks a bit more correctly... any that also do Roamler will be well used to having to get it right to avoid rejections... the apps in general are FAR more lenient than trad MSCs... i think its only the ones who just do blades that werent happy leading up to yesterday but see no complaints now after doing them... the non blades T360 tasks that were on BME last 2 weeks have been absolutely flawless and no one been complaining about those... i think there is users who only do blades and nothing else the ones who do any and all tasks have been just getting on with it.

A lot of generalizations in your post Mabozza - people are not just complaining about the blades it's the whole set up. There are a a numbered of seasoned people like myself who have used both apps for a long time and are concerened about this monopoly. The rare outlier that BME throws out where a task jumps from £6 to £120 is not the everyday reality.
And to say Task too lenient is simply not true - its the client who dictates what is good not Task. If tasks were not done correctly they would get rejected.
Anyway, every cloud has a silver lining - there is now a gap in the market for a good local app seeing as Field and Task have both gone to pot.
