Interested to hear if anyones had any interesting experiences whilst gubbed at a bookie? Big money wins? Free bets you weren't meant to get? I know a lot of sites sportsbook and casino offerings are unrelated so probably some good experiences there.

Had a bookie I'm heavily stake restricted at (50p) trying to entice me back for some reason with free bets to 100% and 50% up to £50/£25 of my deposits. No wagering and no need to stake your deposit. All went through fine and everything safely back in my bank

I can't remember which bookmaker it was but they sent me a email gubbing me from all their offers then at the bottom of the same email gave me a £5 free bet to encourage me to keep playing on their platform.

Making really good money on some of my gubbed accounts with the lay to lose guarantee from Sky bet Betvictor BFSB etc. Basically, they allow to you win a certain amount of money on certain races, usually up to £500. If you're quick, this can be arbed. It's definitely revitalised my gubbed accounts.

got gubbed by The Pools recently. Odd cos I’d used them only four times. Within an hour of the gubbing I saw an arb and underlayed it.

It only came in. Made £3 (near £100 in bookies eyes)

My best and probably only experience was with Skybet and arbing horses. Was gubbed and restricted heavily to £100 max winnings so was earning about £100-200 a week from that, but for some obscure reason the restrictions went to £200 max winnings, and then £500 and eventually £1000. From this I was making over £2000 a week for about 6 weeks but then the restrictions were reapplied so now I can't do it anymore.

Leaving the account for now with the hope of the restrictions being lifted in a few months or making a new account in a few years, before that I may help my sister out.

Wow @Ikeo123 - just WOW! I've never really got into horse bets much as the liability needed at the Exchange has been too high for my bank. What sort of odds and stakes were you doing? thanks :)

I was doing bets with a liability of up to £1000, so £200 at 6.0 etc. Ran out of money in the exchange quickly when I had a lot of horses winning so missed out on around 5+ days of earning, Google lay to lose if you want to try it!

@Ikeo123 thanks. I have had a quick look at this and even tried to do a couple of small bets to test it out. Trouble is the odds change far too quickly for me and an arb can quickly change into a loss - don't have the bank, nerve or skills to do this unfortunately :(

Only been doing MB a month - still on the sign ups...

But I've just been gubbed by Genting!

I've literally only done the sign up with them and nothing else. I feel honoured!

Not been gubbed yet, apart from by Paddypower years ago for no reason whatsoever as I had a losing account and wasn't match betting. I did hit a good streak though, so it seems you can get gubbed just for hitting a good run.

I am gubbed at all the big UK books and just about all the small ones too. The worst bit is that most of them totally closed my account down, so I can't even hammer them on their lay to lose guarantees. The only ones I still have open at all are Betfred, Boyles and Hills, and I am gubbed on all offers from all 3 and limited to 1% stakes at Hills, so they might as well be closed.

A few have had the cheek to send me offers that they know I can't do. Like Bookee kept sending me personal offers like bet £10 get £10 when I can't even get 50p on anything. Similarly with Quinnbet and Toals, but I asked them to stop sending me offers I can't do and wasting my time.

To me, this is why matched betting could never be a long term venture. I know others have been going a while but it seems inevitable that this will happen to everyone in the end.

Well it has lasted me 12 years as a nice additional income on top of my full time job. I have signed up to around 300 sites in that time and made around £80K with a 2 year break in the middle. If I could do it at weekends I would be nearer £150K I reckon. And I made a few stupid mistakes that burned good accounts. If I was starting now I would try to avoid those. I will put a post up later this week with some pointers for newbies. Jon has an excellent guide on here, but I think I can add a few details.

I recently got gubbed by 888 Casino
Probably my own fault but this is how it went...

Day 1-28
888 Casino: deposit £20 and we'll give you £115 bonus to play with, bonus money is used first, withdraw your deposit whenever you like!

Me: no thanks

Day 29
888 Casino: you sure you don't want this offer? last chance! and withdraw your deposit any time!!

Me: oh go on then

I proceed to deposit £20, lose all the bonus and withdraw my £20, like they said I could

Day 30
888 Casino: YOU ARE BANNED YOU CHEATING SO AND SO

Hello. I'm still here lurking around :)
Hello.
I know I have been gone for a while and many of you will be wondering why I've been so quiet.

Some of you are aware, due to circumstances of what has been going on, but now it's time to let everyone know.

Back at the end of September I was diagnosed with metaplastic breast cancer. I've had such a whirlwind that I haven't really been able to take it all in. I was told I would need surgery, then Chemo and the
