I am sure this has been asked countless times. Please feel free to link if I have missed this.

I have a blog which I have been running for a couple of years. The content is well received by people in the industry and it gets a trickle of visitors consistently. But I am really keen to monetize this a bit more, mostly through:

1. Google AdSense
2. Paid blog posts
3. Sponsorship
4 Affiliate links

But I know I need to grow this more before I can really make any profit.

I've read all the online guides to growing your blog and find it all a bit generic. It mostly advises:

1. Do SEO (yeah, obviously)
2. Send emails to your non-existent email list
3. Pay for ads

Does anyone have any more specific tips from their own experience?

Many thanks.

It is hard to give specific advice without more information.

Before you discuss monetisation you need to find out why you are only getting a trickle of visitors -
- it just might not be a popular niche
- or your site is not ranking highly in Google.

I am sure there are more people who are happy to advise you.

I would not include the URL here but I think we need some more details about niche/visitor numbers/ SEO rankings/ page numbers, is it B2B or B2C etc.

You could also consider quality back links. For example you could use the this site to give you some back links. This site allows you to add a link in your bio and signature. Also a number of people have asked about your site, this would be an opportunity to post a link. By doing this, you may also get other bloggers wanting to collaborate with your site.

Promoting your blog can be quite the challenge, right? I get where you're coming from, wanting to monetize and all. Been there, done that.
So, aside from the usual SEO tactics, here's a tip from personal experience: engage with your audience on a personal level. Respond to comments, start conversations on social media, and foster a sense of community. It's all about building relationships and trust.
Oh, and speaking of SEO, I recently had a great experience with a dental SEO agency on Upwork. They really know their stuff and helped boost my site's visibility. Check them out if you're looking to level up your SEO game: https://www.upwork.com/services/product/marketing-dental-seo-agency-audit-1750486460109524992

I’ve been running a travel blog for a few years and had similar goals for monetization. At first, I tried doing everything myself, but progress was slow.

What made a real difference was getting professional help. I hired PBB Design web promotion to handle my blog’s growth. They performed a thorough audit, fixed errors, and optimized my site internally and externally. They also helped with link building and creating quality content, which significantly increased my traffic and engagement.

Try engaging in niche forums and social media, guest posting on related blogs, and collaborating with influencers. Also, use content upgrades like free e-books to grow your email list.

I’d focus on simple SEO tweaks, regular linking between your own posts, and posting your content in active online communities. Guest posts and sharing personal stories usually pull in new readers fast.
