Hiya Guys....

Just wanted to ask, how many wins should you let go on the Betfair Exchange, before you do a simple bet on their site just to lose.
I've only done 5 bets using them as the the lay off bets, won 4 out of the 5 so just wondered if they might be looking at the account...

Thanks for any help and advice...

They won't gub / close your Betfair Exchange account. No exchange will ever limit your account so don't worry about that ;)

You NEVER have to worry about mug betting the exchange. Do remember to check out Smarkets as an exchange as they are a lot cheaper than Betfair.

Whether you win or lose is irrelevant for any bookie as well, it is more betting on something that doesn't have an offer attached to it that is important for mug betting. Remember you still do mug bets in the same way you do offer bets (betting for and against), it is just something that does not normally have an offer related to it.

Thanks for the help, the mug bets you talk of, betting for and against sorry for being a Homer but not using offer bets / FREE money as such, these mug bets ! You are betting against your own bet yep, would this not make you have a negative bet, no matter the outcome...I said it was a Homer question.

Thanks again for your help...

In Matched Betting you place a Back bet at the bookie and the opposite Lay bet at the exchange and call it the Qualifying bet. Just use the same principle for mug bets. Placing a bet with you own money without also placing a lay bet is called Gambling - you can do this is you want with your own money, but this would not be Matched Betting
