Hello :)

Have FINALLY taken my first steps towards matched betting (thank you for the push [member=1]Jon[/member] ).

Having gone via the MB banner above I have spent the afternoon watching the video and registering with Coral and Betfair.

Betfair have a free £20 bet offer on for joining them (though it is not showing up in my account?)
and I was wondering whether I should use this on a bet (nothing to lose?) before doing the PA trial?

I would appreciate any guidance. Will probably do it tomorrow now - need my tea ..........................

Thanks

You will use it later on don't worry about it for now you will just be using the betfair EXCHANGE to begin with :)

Okay, thanks [member=1]Jon[/member] :)

Do you know what the best cookie settings are in google Chrome for Matched Betting, surveys etc?
I've only just got this as it is recommended on here for the survey sites but am not sure if I should just be allowing first party cookies or third party ones too?

At the moment it is set up as:

allow local data to be set (default setting)
block third-party cookies and site data

but I have a notion that these are conflicting with each other and only one of the options should be checked?

I keep getting a 'this page was prevented from setting cookies' icon in the url bar so know that something is wrong.

I guess I should also check the 'Keep local data only until you quit your browser' option?

Think I messed up with this one then, the offer looks like it WAS with the Exchange but I had to stake at least £20 on my first bet and of course PA suggest placing a £5 bet.

Oh well, rookie mistake number one. Hopefully I will make (money)shed loads of money in the future.

I've done the Coral/Betfair Qualifying bet and got the £20 free bet with Coral. Hoping to do that tomorrow (got until the 4th) as not had time today.

If you've only used the BetFair exchange then you should still be able to benefit from the Sportsbook offer at your leisure. BF run the two almost as separate entities. I used the exchange for months before venturing in to do the sports book offers. I was still able to benefit from the sportsbook offers as a new customer.

Thank you [member=4161]mrmajika[/member] :)

I don't appear to have received the free bet into my account at all, probably due to the way my cookies were set up (see my other post) when I registered.

As the suggestion on here is NEVER to query free bets via live chat, I will let this one pass and hope for other opportunities in the future.

Not sure this belongs here (move if not) but I have 5 referrals to give away so here goes ^^

So pretty easy deal, you bet £20 on the exchange on any market and if it wins you keep it, if it loses you get your £20 back and can withdraw. Of course any matched bettors will already have done this offer but it's an easy one for non bettors, too.
