Betfred confirmation request

Hi All

I have had a message from Betfred and it asked me to text 0101 to 89660 to confirm my account and said my free bet wouldn't go through until I did that, when I did I got a message on my phone saying that type of message is not allowed as it could be someone trying to fraudulently get my details. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks L

89660 is legitimately the text number for betfred

Just a quick update in case anyone else experiences this. As suggested I did get in the web chat and they were extremely helpful. After confirming my details online they credited my bonus within about half an hour, so a stress free solution

We also had a problem with this as it was classed as an "adult" number by the phone company. It needed a quick call to the customer services to remove the "adult" block and a re-boot then it worked.

Ah right thanks for that, didn’t really want to change any phone settings (paranoid) but the chat help was fantastic. I appreciate your feedback though, because this may be a ‘thing’ if I carry on with matched getting, so I may have to change the phone settings

yeh we haven't experienced it with any others yet but we've only got half a dozen accounts.. still learning!
