Betting on result over 3.5

Hey all,

Gradually working my way through the offers and on number 9, the william hill 3 x free £10 bets. I have chosen tonight athletico madrid game and the odds that were closest were on the result being over 3.5. I have only even bet on football matches or horses to win so this is a new one fore me.

What happens if the team doesn't score over 3.5? Do I lose my free bets and my lay bets?

P.S. I had to place the free bets as 3 separate £10 bets so i did the same with the lay bets via smarkets and placed 3 separate lay bets. I hope this was correct otherwise bit of an expensive boo boo on my part lol.

If you are betting with WH on there being over 3.5 goals you would still lay this off at the exchange as you would do any other qualifying or free bet

If there is less than 3.5 goals then you would win at the exchange due to the fact you laid the bet
