So. I won't mention the store I bought it from, but after reading about it I'm not sure if I should be worried?
I often buy raw chicken drumsticks to feed the cats. I figure like nature they can clean their teeth on the bones.
So I turned the light off last night and thought WTF?! Yup glowing chicken bones at the ends. After some research I found the government are testing with GMO chickens to protect against avain bird flu, though I don't think they are supposed to be released publicly yet? (I think they are injecting Jellyfish DNA) There's a few other stories with glowing Pork in China. I'm a bit tired at the mo so I might not have the researched info 100%, but what do you guys reckon?

Cheers

I found this online

The bones were not radioactive. The glow was caused by a normal, run-of-the-mill bacteria called Pseudemonas Fluorecens. It is a very common bacteria in meats.

Thanks. Interesting that the family got sick after eating the chicken, but the scientists say it's nothing to worry about.

As an aside. Avian flu is becoming a big problem. Chicken eggs can no longer be sold as free range because the chickens have had to be kept inside since November so none can qualify for the free range label any more.
