Just switched to Bulb from British Gas as part of Moneysavingexpert's cheap energy campaign. Shame I didn't know earlier as I only got £50 and the £100 would have been terrific!

The £100 referral from Bulb was only for a limited period in November. You could've got £80 via my link though. £50 from Bulb plus £30 from me. No time limit on my offer.

You're probably still in your 14 day cooling off period if you do want to take up TCA's offer.

If you use my code you will get £50.00 credit straight away added to your a/c . It worked for me, happy saving everyone

They:-

Use green energy

Supply cheap energy

Pay your exit fees

Don't tie you in to a contract

They answer the telephone

Give you £50 for joining, and 40 from me via your choice

Give you £50 every time you refer someone.

We would be really grateful if you could use our referral link below to join bulb.

I switched to Bulb energy around 7 months ago, they're a 3-year-old ethical energy supplier who pride themselves on making renewable energy affordable to the masses. Their electricity is 100% renewable from solar, hydro and wind and their gas is 10% renewable.

They’ve just celebrated their 200,000 customer and have a sign up offer where they’re giving away £50 free credit to anyone who switches to them, and also to the person who referred them.

Get a quote & the £50 signup offer via this link

I saved £280/year when we switched (most people save between £100-£300 a year) plus the £50 sign up offer and it’s unbeatable in terms of cost. Plus, once you switch you can also refer some of your own friends and family and continue to earn £50 for each one going forward, making it world beating and paying for your energy for the whole year.

Bulb are the No.1 rated energy supplier on Trust Pilot (see the link below)
Bulb Energy - Trust Pilot

Bulb are No.1 for customer service and have the fastest answer time for phone calls, out of all UK suppliers (see WHICH survey below)
WHICH Survey

Bulb will pay your exit fees if you’re currently locked into a fixed deal. Just send them a picture of your final bill and they refund it to your debit card within 48hrs (see the link below)
Bulb - Refund Exit Fees

And best of all Bulb’s electricity is 100% renewable. Green energy just became affordable

Plus many more awesome benefits:

- Fantastic customer service
- No.1 energy supplier TrustPilot
- UK based call centres with fastest pick up time
- 100% renewable electricity
- 10% renewable gas
- Pay exit fees from current supplier
- Quarterly energy watch updates
- Bill emailed to you monthly
- Fantastic mobile app (iOS and Android) and website
- Community forums for support
- Refer a Friend scheme
- £50 free credit when switching
- Smart Meters being rolled out this summer (Smets2)
- Pre-Pay customers now accepted

I can’t recommend Bulb enough they’ve been outstanding in the 7 months I've been with them and this offer makes it even better.

Get a quote via the link below and see how much you could save. It’s not necessary but if you refine your quote and use your annual usage figures from your last bill you will get a more accurate picture of your savings, just a helpful hint

Hi Cas,

I assume you mean the daily standing charge? All the tariff information is available when you do a quote via Bulb's quote service. It also allows you to enter your current supplier and tariff and get a comparison to see how much you can save.

Have a look and let me know how you get on, Bulb are one of the cheapest on the market :)

As of 2 months ago Bulb had over 330,000 customers. Pretty impressive growth from next to no advertising, largely thanks to the referral programme.

Just to update the above, the total number of Bulb customers now exceeds 450,000. Phenomenal growth in such a short space of time.

Unfortunately yes. Their email said my costs would go up by £1.44 per month, so I can live with that. Still well ahead of the competition for my location and usage. When that substantially changes I'll switch.

Thought that wouldn't make a difference

Usage is probably a bigger factor but unit rates do vary for different locations, as is the case with all energy suppliers as far as I know.

Our's is going up by just under £4 a month but that's still a heck of a lot cheaper than we were paying with our last supplier and at least these guys use our meter readings rather than plucking a number from thin air. Good Energy decided that in the last 22 days with them before we switched that we used over £1000 in gas! LMAO

Ours is estimated to go up by £6 a month, but even with one lot of £50 it would be the cheapest available to me.

I'd highly recommend signing up still, using my code or someone else's and then share your code, it only takes a couple of people to sign up via you and you will have by far the cheapest energy you can get. Customer service has been fantastic when I needed to speak to them too.

Do you have to take dual fuel for the referral to work?

Just 14 days from using a referral link, to get the additional £50 cashback, to my utilities being with Bulb. By far the cheapest deal for 100% green electric and 10% natural gas. In addition Bulb discount my monthly bill with a loyalty discount for staying with them. If you are also looking to take advantage of the additional £50 cashback from your first bill; this link will provide that bulb.co.uk/refer/mrijd7762 or join.bulb.co.uk/refer/mrijd7762

BTW - £50 referral works whether you take one or both fuels. Not tried using my first link to buy just gas, and getting £50; then using my second link to buy electric. Possible you would get £100 off, as Bulb aren’t mean at applying the discount. They have always been really good at honouring it.
