That is an interesting idea, would this be a collection of templated material they can make their own? Like email marketing templates, graphics and social posts etc..?

I wanted to implement a program that allows users to lend money at interest to other users, and earn on commissions. But as far as I understood, it is very risky.

The news of Cineworld reportedly filling for bankruptcy had me thinking this week about what someone could do with the spaces (assuming many premises close down in the coming months / years) or renting unused theatres from cinema's that need the money.
Would be a good space to host e-sports tournaments or other digital media in a more collaborative way?

They are huge spaces though. I don't think you'd sell enough tickets to pay the heating bill over winter, never mind make a profit.

I don't think its affected the UK business yet but it will be a big loss if they do go under.

Buy different products from China, and then sell them in your store. It sounds rather trivial, but it's proven, the only problem here is how to open your business properly. But it can be solved by going searching for articles. For example, you can read the information on how to open and run a small business, and what documents you may need. If you are interested in this stuff, I advise you to click over here. Sign a contract with a Chinese factory, and make a profit selling their goods, it's simple.

I always wanted to resell various goods from China. Buy at cost and sell for market price.

You and a million other sellers on ebay. Plus the actual Chinese selling there directly from their factories too. You'd also be getting hammered by the exchange rate at the moment.

I always have ideas but they're for existing businesses. Like I had one for tinder, and how they could make a few extra quid.

Basically they could partner with select venues and restaurants/bars/pubs, to promote date ideas. So when two people match, they can arrange a date through tinder at a venue in between them.

This way Tinder can improve their service and facilitate more dates/meet ups. And they can earn money through the promotion of businesses

Only way to turn this into a business idea is to start a dating app like that myself. But having the relevant connections is something I'm lacking

This reminds me of a new dating app I've heard people speaking about - https://www.getthursday.com/
Interesting concept, they only host offline events and do one every Thursday. Looks like they partner with brands like brewdog.

Shows that it was a good idea as it seems to be working for them :)

I think there's a huge gap in the market for a website aggregating listings for motorhomes and campervans for sale.

There are over 180 keyword/phrases around or related to 'buying a motorhome or campervan' - 110,000 searches a month and it's something like 30p a click. They sell for anything up to £70/80k (and the rest).

There's no-one really doing it. Autotrader try to do it, but they're just shoe-horning motorhome listings into a car selling website. They don't cater for all of the bells, whistles and options that you'd want when searching for your perfect motorhome.

All of the other sites are just individual companies trying to sell their own stock.

Huge market if anyone has the appetite to have a go at it. If I was younger, I would definitely consider it ;-)

You'd have to consider how the technology would aggregate these things and if it would be a case of

- scrape the content - monetise via adverts
- charge for listings
- charge for sales
Yep - to do it properly you'd need a good budget.

In the early days I'd find 3 or 4 vendors who each have c.100 vehicles for sale. Develop individual scrapers to take the details from their website and run updates overnight. You'd then have c.400 vehicles for sale, which would already be very interesting to prospective customers. Free for your 4 vendors for the first 6 months.

Cover 6 months of PPC etc, to bring in good amounts of traffic - and then add new vendors at a healthy monthly subscription. I think Autotrader is something like £1,000+ pm. They (the vendors) make something like £6k to £10k on the sale of a decent vehicle.

I did something similar in the car insurance market, but don't have the appetite to do a big project again myself...

Hey everyone! I've actually been toying with this idea for a while now, and I think it could be something pretty cool. You know how it's always a hassle to find eco-friendly and sustainable products online? Well, I was thinking of creating a marketplace specifically for those kinds of products, making it easier for people to shop consciously and support environmentally friendly businesses. I believe there's a growing demand for such a platform, and it could make a positive impact on the planet. Oh, and by the way, if anyone's knowledgeable about local SEO, I'd love to hear your insights on it because SEO promotion is so prevalent nowadays. How Does Local SEO work?

I remember drop shipping was a very trendy side hustle over a decade ago(maybe longer), but I don't know of anyone who made decent money from it.

Seems to have died down recently due to the amount of instagram 'influencers'/motivational sales gurus jumping on it. I started the process of doing it but it just seemed a logistical nightmare and I was worried about customer service, especially with a lot of items coming from China and there being a potential 4 week delivery time. I didn't do too much research though so maybe there are places here in the UK or Europe at least that may offer better products and delivery service. But then again, I didn't really put too much effort in to it. If I had then maybe it might have been different. Well worth a try if you do the research

I have yet to meet anyone who has successfully passed all responsibility to another under a dropshipping arrangement, where they ultimately haven't suffered with poor customer service, had to pay for an unusually high number of lost items, or just found their customers last in line when stocks are tight.

There's one exception to this - and that's where Amazon is your seller and you get affiliate commission on the sale. But , they've drastically reduced the commissions over the past few years.
