When brainstorming start-up ideas, I always consider what people need but also can't easily access. Sometimes, the most direct ideas turn out to be the most successful, like services that save people time or solve everyday problems.

Consider niche markets, too. You could create a business around something you're passionate about. It's easier to stay motivated that way.

If you're not sure where to start, look at some existing businesses around you, as there's a lot to learn from them. You might even find an idea you'd like to expand on. You can list your business for sale and find other examples of companies on the market.

The thread is full of practical ideas, but moving from concept to execution is where most people stall, especially if a project needs serious capital. For anyone building something tech-heavy, I have found that tracking down the right funding sources eats up a lot of time, which is why I started using deep tech investors to filter for relevant grants and speed up the application process. It is a solid backup for the affiliate model you mentioned.
