I've been thinking of learning Norwegian and as there aren't that many TV series/movies available on YouTube (unlike for Danish, Swedish etc.) I started looking for crime novels. I quickly found a few titles on amazon.co.uk... but on closer inspection these were the Dutch translations! Thankfully I had a go at Dutch a couple of years ago.
I then checked out https://www.bokkilden.no (a bit like Waterstones) and https://www.nb.no/nbsok (the equivalent of the British Library) and then... I decided to check out ebay… and I found what I was looking for! No exchange rate, no customs fees... and I can pay using PayPal (to avoid my bank flagging the transaction as 'suspicious', rejecting it, and creating me extra work!)
If anyone has any tips (especially re TV series - something like Forbrydelsen would be fantastic) I'd be grateful.
