Hi All,

It's that time of the year again for me and my car, insurance time. Why is it such a drag to do once a year???
Anyway, does anyone know of any good cashback or Amazon vouchers back offers from any of the sites out there?
I am looking but there are so many to fill in I'm hoping someone on here can help and save me some time.

Thanks,

An-na

We’ve just been down this road

First things first

Have you got your new quote and if you aren’t happy with it have you rung up and haggled?

Hi Jon,

Yes I have my new quote and it is quite good. However, I know from experience that Direct Line don't haggle. I have looked at the usual suspects Compare the Market and Confused dot com and I can do better. I would like to see how much better and if I can get cashback.

That’s fair enough

I just find cheaper with another insurer and then ring up the existing one and get them to price match which so far Hastings have always done with me which is a good job as I’d probably view changing car insurance provider as too much of a hassle and just pay the premium offered lol

I was tempted to stay with Direct Line as they are very good and it is always such a hassle to do this every year. Interestingly enough, Hasting Direct and Hastings Premier have given me very good prices including for business travel. Now if I can just find something similar with cashback ;)

Hi, @An-na - according to the 'green site', the optimum time to re-new is 3 weeks beforehand, it then gets dearer as you get closer to your renewal date - some other tips are also here:
