It is quite good at writing poems though:

Prompt: Write a poem about a cat who liked reading the money shed forum

There once was a cat named Mittens, Who loved to read and learn new-things.
She found a site called Money Shed Forum, And spent her days reading and exploring.
She learned about ways to make money online, And shared her knowledge with feline friends of mine.
She loved the community and the tips they shared, And felt like she had found a place where they cared.
She learned about surveys and cashback deals, And shared her knowledge with others with zeal.
Her kitty friends were in awe of her skill, And followed her lead with a determined will.
She loved the challenge and the thrill of it all, And felt like she was really standing tall.
So if you're a cat looking to make some cash, Head on over to Money Shed in a dash. You'll find a community that's always there, And with mitten's tips you'll soon be a millionaire.

Love it :giggle: That is rather good for a machine.
If we were all cats I wonder what breed we would all be?

I signed up (long before I ever signed up to the Money Shed) to a website which provides access to free crochet patterns. I received an email about crochet patterns written by ChatGPT (about which I have mixed feelings).

I'd like to think I'd be a posh breed like a Siamese but more likely I'd be a Heinz 57 varieties.

I won't unsubscribe but don't have any pressing desire to do a crochet pattern created by ChatGPT. ChatGPT is like any tool - useful if used sensibly.

That makes sense.

I was more just pointing out that it isn't a very good way to make your subscribers to feel special by using minimal effort to create content to send to them.

Totally agree - ChatGPT is great if used sensibly.

I came across a video (by a lady who runs a YouTube channel about cooking) which gives a (to me at least) sensible summary of artificial intelligence (not just ChatGPT) including some of the possible problems. I found it interesting I've thought of doing an experiment just for my own benefit where I rough out an article myself without aid and then give some prompts to an AI program to see where they are similar/different. I'd have to do the one which was "orl me own wurk" first for obvious reasons.

Very interesting, thanks for sharing.

I've done a similar experiment.

The outcomes are kind of strange because the writing is good in terms of structure and content. But it lacks something that is hard to explain. It is the personality of it all.

To be fair I would struggle to tell the different between a low-skill writer and AI.

Not directly to do with the header of this thread but I've come across a limitation of AI (when 'conversing' (lol) with a bot) today. I was doing a survey and going through the screening questions I came to one query which had a scenario asking the participant to select which make of a certain item he or she owned if they had said item but there was no option to click to say one didn't own said item or owned a make not mentioned in the study. I tried three ways telling the bot for the site about the defect in the study but just kept getting referred to various articles so I bowed out in the end. It's frustrating though because I was trying to be helpful.

Bing AI said it was closing a conversation with me last night. Bing AI is based on ChatGPT. I did eventually manage to get the information. I was asking for the rest of a bit of doggerel I knew as a child and hit Enter at the end of a verse line but of course I shouldn't have done that. For context it was for the rest of "Yer munna say dunna it inna polite, yer shunna say wunna 'cause it inna right". Bing AI on my second attempt after shutting me down said it's a Shropshire verse though I learned it in Staffordshire. I think it's known all over the midlands actually with maybe very slight variations.

Oh, I've dabbled with Chat GPT for content creation! It's quite handy when you need a bit of creative spark or assistance with writing. Your experience with Bing AI's ChatGPT sounds interesting, especially tracking down that bit of doggerel. It's fascinating how these AI systems can provide insights and even regional context.
Speaking of AI, I recently heard about Stevie AI myself, and I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl when it's available. AI technology just keeps evolving, and it's becoming an indispensable tool for various tasks.
