I was going to post this in the money earning diaries section of this website but I suppose I’m not really “earning money” so I decided to post this here.

Being struck down with a sinus infection and severe boredom has led me to setting myself the challenge of entering 100 competitions in the lead up to Christmas Day. I’ve been entering competitions on and off all day but I’m not going to count those.

I will however count the two Skint Dad competitions I just entered, putting me at 2/100.

Would love for some of you to join in and see what we can win together!

I do many more than that every day, more so at the moment, as there are hundreds of lovely advent competitions to do every day :)

Good luck and I look forward to hearing about your wins.

Thank you!

Have you got any recommendations on good ones you’ve entered today?

It really depends on what you are looking for prize wise. There won't be that many normal comps running from now until Christmas, as the promoters are all winding down for the Christmas break. But there are advent comps by the hundreds, each with a different prize every day.
Are you using a competition listing site? There's quite a few out there and you can filter the listings for the prizes that you want. Loquax is good for advents, as they have a brilliant tracker, so that you can easily see which ones you've entered and you can permanently hide anything that is of no interest. Here's a link to the advents there: https://www.loquax.co.uk/advent.htm

Bit of a slower start than I expected but I’ve been keeping track of everything I’ve entered and since my last post I’ve entered another 22 competitions which takes me to 24/100.

Been considering upping the number to 200, just to challenge myself and see if my luck comes in but I’m trying to only enter competitions where I’m interested in the prize, instead of just entering anything I see.

Hi Emcherry. As I recall, you won on Tombola site so I imagine it won't be long before you are winning again. I too have done some on SkintDad. Just noticed the site earlier. I've done 25 today - fingers crossed for everyone!

I’m definitely hitting a rut with what to enter. 100 entries is looking more and more realistic.

Fingers crossed for you.

I made a Twitter specifically to do some RT competitions and that’s pushed me up to 43/100.

Spent some time this morning entering holiday competitions because you’ve gotta be in it to win it, haven’t ya?

Hi again Emcherry.
Did you do the OhMyDosh Readly Magazine Trial? If you paid £1.99 you get access to over 3,000 magazine's for 2 months and the cashback site will give you £7.00 cashback in 3 working days? I don't know if it still applies but I was thinking how many competitions may be available from them if you have the patience to sift through all the mags that is! I know TopCashback were paying £14.00 cashback for this offer but they have been letting me down quite a bit with declined cashback etc so I didn't go with them - just a thought.

Ooh that’s definitely something to think about, thank you! Entered a load more Skint Dad competitions last night after being inspired by you.

Up to 61/100 now.

The only daily competitions I enter is the Viktor & Rolf advent competitions and the Skint Dad competitions.

Retweeted a gorgeous Miffy double duvet set earlier today too.

Just got myself up to 62 by entering an Oskia skincare competition - excited by this one because I love Oskia whenever I get samples but I can’t justify the price.

Hi Emcherry, goodness me another late night internet user! I've done some more Skint Dad's, it's a good website isnt it. I've also been on SuperLuckyMe by Di Coker. I've been reading about the instant prize competitions. There was a link for the Soap and Glory brand where you have to balance someone on a tightrope to win!, It's fun but probably impossible. I think I need to stick rigidly to one or two sites as I've been on a few and some of them send you off on another website and before you know it 10 mins has passed chasing one comp. I think I may have caught this comping bug! I am anti-facebook so don't access comps on there but I was reading about other social media comp possibilities, do you have any experience or thoughts on this at all. Otherwise for me it's SkintDad/SuperLuckyMe/MoneyMagie. PS. I think most radio stations do the daily prizes like skint dad where you can keep entering but there's only 24 hours in a day! Good luck

Hiya, yeah, I’ve just made a twitter dedicated to comping and following money shed people! And the occasional tweet about eye drops or how much I want a sandwich so I don’t look like an obvious competition account lol

Di Coker is amazing for it. Twitter is so easy though, you normally just need to follow them and retweet to enter. I entered probably 15 radio competitions before I set myself this little challenge so I didn’t include them but I’m not holding out much hope because people that listen to the radio in their car probably enter all these as well as compete.

The Funko twitter have so many competitions on that after including them in my round up 8 times, I stopped including them. Probably entered near enough 20 through them alone. Not of any real interest to me but I’ve entered some that are good to give away to people as presents and some that I know are / will be worth more than the usual figurines in the long run.

Forgot to update this over the Christmas period but I smashed my challenge by around 20+ before Christmas Day. Yet to have won anything, and I’d be delighted if I did, but not all of my competitions are over yet and it wasn’t really about the winning. More so something to do while I was took to my bed with an infection.

It has spurred me on to set myself another challenge of 40 in a day though, just for fun, which I will update about here.

Sometimes the hope of possibly winning something gives you a wee buzz I find and perks you up from being poorly. Fingers crossed for you!!!
