I was made redundant at the beginning of the year and started working from home. As I didn't have anyone peering over my shoulder I thought I would see if there was any ways to earn money online at the same time.
I came across the Money Saving Exert competition forum and instantly became hooked!
I started entering around 100 competitions a day and so far so good! I have won anything from a tastecard to a £2000 mountain bike in the last 3 months alone!
I only enter free competitions, usually where you just have to enter your details in a form, occasionally I will sign up to a newsletter etc but only when I really want to win the prize. To make things easier I set up a auto form fill up so I just press a button and voila the form is filled out for me. I also set a separate email address, and my signature is my name, address, phone number etc so all I have to do is press send or enter an answer in there.
I wouldn't say this is necessarily 'earning' money online but if you are willing to put the effort in then the rewards can be HUGE!
Does anyone else 'comp'? What have you won?

a LOT of comps these days seem to be all about RTs on Twitter and likes on Facebook

far easier than sending a postcard into Going Live!

I've entered comps since I was a teenager, which is many, many years ago. Far before the computer age ;)

We've had some wonderful prizes over the years including a balloon flight, spa visits, cash, holidays and lots of gadgets and electrical things. Just today I won a Hotel Chocolat easter egg - yum.

It is a case of keep plugging away though. You have to enter thousands to see much of a return..................or be very, very lucky.

It was good Jon. I always imagined that it would be totally silent up there, but the sound from below wafts up in quite a magical way. The burners are really noisy when they are on though. It certainly does give a different perspective on a landscape that you thought you knew well.

The only downside of it was having to get up at 4 a.m, although the champagne breakfast afterwards made up for that. :D
