Hi all,

I am a complete beginner with Match Betting and through this website I found my way to PA. I watched the video.

My first bets have been placed and I only hope that I have done it correctly. Tell me if I'm wrong.

I placed a bet on coral for £5.00, the back odds were 5.00 and the lay odds 5.10. Calculator says lay stake of £4.95 and liability of £20.30. Lay bet placed on Betfair for £4.95 with £20.30 deposited in to my account to cover liability.

My free £20.00 of bets are in my coral account.

Does this all sound correct, lol?

Thanks in advance :)

Yup all sounds correct @Lolly B

You make a SMALL qualifying loss of a few pence during the qualifying bet

then when you use that free bet with coral set the calculator to SNR and THAT is where you make your risk free profit ;)

EASY MONEY!!

Definitely.

I've deposited £10 to Betfred and placed bet to get the £30 in free bets within 48 hours.

Looking forward to doing this again!

So grateful to have found this site. I'm going to keep my expectations realistic and take some time with this in hopes to accumulate maybe £1000 or so. Then i'll see where the land lies and maybe look to upgrade my membership. Any extra income will help :)

It's been 3 days since I first started and reading through the sportsbook sign up offers and I can see that it gets more complicated from here (I have already signed up to platinum membership on PA) I can't help but feel quite intimated by some of the processes and feeling out of my depth.

Doing the very basic sign up offers I'm around £60 in profit to date and I'm in the process of trying to open a basic bank account so I can keep my matched betting money completely separate from my daily living money.

Anyway, back to offers, I'm clicking on and reading offers that mention five fold accumalators and my heart sinks. I'm also seeing some offers where you have to manually find suitable bets. The sporting index offer just seems like complete jargon and there seems to be a lot of offers where a conditions require you to wager 3x 4x etc, which suggest to me you have to have a fair amount in the bank roll to cover liabilities. I'm hoping that it will sink in given some time and reading...

It's been a while since I've looked at that section but the Beginner offers area on PA @Lolly B is pretty much just bet x and get x free bet.

Are you sure your not talking about the advanced offers section. You don't HAVE to do any of those if you don't want to you could just go straight from Beginners Offers > Reloads if that makes you feel more comfortable

HOWEVER

I do understand what you are saying but by never challenging yourself or doing something new that may look slightly difficult the first time you do it you are cutting yourself away from earning more money

Can I just comment on your mention of Sporting Index, this is spread betting and is very dangerous indeed and far from risk-free matched betting, there is potential to lose thousands and this is only for very very experienced MBers indeed. Otherwise, it sounds like you've got off to a good start with the beginner offers.

Thanks for your replies all.

I've still got quite a few free bets to claim in the beginners section, some of the more advanced ones are at the end of the list before moving on to reloads.

I'm definitely avoiding spread betting etc because I'd be fool to try something I do not yet understand. I won't give up though, just going to take my time to fully understand something before I start laying money out.

Thank you all for the support, advice and comments, they are really appreciated because overall, a discovery like matched betting is quite exciting :)
