Wow Jon 16,000! I only got my log in details on 13th April I think and was struck down with covid that same week so I've had a slow start but have got into it this week and hit the 1000 minimum anyway, when do we first get paid? Do we get first invoice in May?
I've been doing a bit this morning but it's very slow right now so I think only doing it when plenty of work is there is a good tip!

'Events' seem to trigger more work for obvious reasons

so football games, a football player saying something 'shocking' etc. all drives yet more work

I'm still finding logging in post early morning dog walk while the queue is low there seems to be less people signed in and you get lots of work is super rapid succession

You'll get your statement of accepted work about 10 business days after the last day of the month, so usually around the 13th of each month, with a breakdown of all your earnings, then you submit your invoice based off that. I usually get paid around the 22nd of the month, give or take a few days.

Don't know how the other newbies have found it but I'm coming to the end of my first month of crisp

I'm finding it 100x easier than I did in the early days of doing this. I've had 2 DMs so far on Slack about incorrect rating which isn't too bad out of the 16,000+ items I've rated this month!

I'm slightly concerned how easily I've shifted into the same mindset I had with Lionbridge rating work which is DO AS MUCH AS YOU CAN WHEN THE WORK IS THERE which I don't feel is overly helpful in the long run so I just need to keep an eye on that with me. I can EASILY see how people earn £1000/£1500/£2000+ a month from Crisp!
I have been doing this project for a while now. I think this is a bit optimistic, I would say more realistically the money earned is anywhere between £200 and £1000, yes you might be able to make the amounts Jon mentions but only if you were tied to the laptop 24 /7 on call to jump on busy times!!! It is a feast or famine kind of project, this month has been quite busy with some incredibly busy moments but there are also months and times where you are lucky to make £2-5 an hour! So please bear this in mind!

I also agree with Jon about falling into the trap of working as much as you can when there is work, I gave up the holy grail Appen project for this reason as my life-work balance was going out of the window. I now try to stick to a daily target and switch off once achieved.

Couldn't agree more. I've been with them a little over 2 years now, and the current consistent volume of work (from what I've seen, I'm very rarely in the PPI queues any more) is great, but can't be relied on.

Also, it's worth noting that rushing through, or working on the tasks for long stretches at a time WILL make you complacent, and you WILL make mistakes - there's a reason those of us who do hourly paid work are not allowed to work more than 4 hours back to back.

yeah I think that's how I ended up with Lionbridge rating.

I'm topping out each day at £20-£23 so not doing too long

any more and my eyes will glaze over lol

I tried the test a few times but can't get more than 18, actually only got that once, now it's back to 17. The one really annoying one is the one about the Aston Martin, I can't see anything wrong with the post.

It's been a while now since I took it but some of the questions have more than one answer.
