I do this for simplicity, no fees or third party, money just turns up in the bank account! I have heard Paypal can be quicker (not sure this is always the case) so I guess it depends on how quickly you need the income. Was thinking of submitting my invoice to get payment straight to bank (avoid PayPal fees). Any disadvantages to doing so?
So the news is that they've been taken over by another company. I wonder whether that means change or business as usual.
Just as I got to my 2yr wait as well. And what with Telus walking away from talks about taking over Appen the other day, not looking good...So the news is that they've been taken over by another company. I wonder whether that means change or business as usual.
Although I hope that perhaps new owners will increase the payI don't think we will know anything for a while but at least in the meantime things will not change
I still haven't got any work with them. Not a shilling (yep, I'm that old). After several months, it does seem to be exactly the same as before and no increase in pay which of course isn't a surprise.
The wait list is at least a year, but they have been doing intakes, so if you passed the test you'll be moving up through it.I still haven't got any work with them. Not a shilling (yep, I'm that old).
Thanks, that's encouraging. I passed the test 2yrs ago so maybe they'll get to me soon. The wait list is at least a year, but they have been doing intakes, so if you passed the test you'll be moving up through it.
That's so annoying.Since Payoneer have inexplicably closed my account without warning, I hope Crisp onboard me soon (not quite a year on the list yet...), as that means I can't work for Appen any longer
I don't know if it will be of any use, but if you're on Twitter you could DM them. I did that when I first tried to open an account and I found them very helpful (or Facebook?)Since Payoneer have inexplicably closed my account without warning, I hope Crisp onboard me soon (not quite a year on the list yet...), as that means I can't work for Appen any longer
Someone in a similar position is pretty certain my account was closed because I hadn't used it for three years, then suddenly had an Appen job. Bizarre, but the sort of thing AI is looking out for, I suppose. I'm afraid I don't believe their claim that security reviews are manual. That's so annoying.
Question for fellow crisp workers, what does everyone think about what's going on at the moment? A lot of disgruntled workers complaining on some other forums. The work has really dropped off, I wonder if this is connected to the change of ownership. I am trying not to work longer but this does mean I am making less, hoping things turn around soon, otherwise really will need to look for something else.
