Hi guys, I believe I have responded to many of you on the Crowdville, site.

Regarding the language barrier, the site by default is set to English, however there seems to be an issue that it sometimes reverts to Italian, there is the option to change the language back to English. When you are on the Otium home page (internal social network) this option is on the right hand side.

Regarding the pilot mission, you simply need to take a picture of the 'bug' and upload the screenshot in 'signal the bug'. Within the bug testing, once you play the video, you will see the bug straight away, this is what you need to screenshot.

Thank you, it was my error. I do apologise. I find the app is so slow at loading things however and lots is in Italian so need to spend a little time exploring the app and the website together to figure out what I’m doing.
Hey Hanna, I got back to you on Crowdville, hope you have gotten through it, remember to sign up to the current mission

Same with me. I don't think it really matters, as long as you've done it and you know it. But @Kenneth Crowder should be able to shine some more light on that. I just did what I could and ignored the error
Hi KingCharlie thanks for completing the pilot mission, and your help is much appreciated. Make sure to sign up to the new mission. Don't miss out!

Is the pilot mission required or just as a practice?

Just practice. Its an on boarding mission. Just to get you started and familiar with how our surveys are done. It does not affect your ability to participate in the current or future missions (surveys)

If you head over to the 'upcoming missions' tab you may have heard about it already through email, but there is what we call Discover Crowdville, which are 4 not paid surveys, but once you complete all 4, you are put in the draw to win an amazon voucher worth £90. we pick new winners every month, for those that have completed the Discover Crowdville campaign (all 4 missions)

I'm just signing up to this now. Hopefully it's a good one but I've got some concerns about the NI number thing. Seems a bit intrusive

Hi Ar,
Yes it is part of our policy to have all paid users to disclose their NI number, of course this information is secured. The reason we ask is because we are regulated by the HMRC, therefore we treat you as an employee. When you sign up with us, you receive a contract and a None disclosure (for the protection of our clients), once you receive earnings, at the beginning of the month we send you an invoice, for you to accept so that we can pay you.

Hope this clears any concerns you may have had

Thanks Kenneth,

I'm going to have to have another look and possibly withdraw then in that case because as a self-employed person I'm not sure how that would affect me in terms of my own employment/tax status if you're paying out via PAYE (which I assume you would be if treating us as employees?) I'm not sure I'm happy with such sensitive personal data being shared by the 'other parties' in the company group either, to be honest. It seems unusual that other market research/survey companies do not require this information upon signup but Crowdville does?

Hi Ar,

Yes as mentioned, we are not just a paid survey company. There is an element of app testing and identifying bugs. The amount you can earn is limitless. If as a Crowdville user you earned £800 from one campaign (one 'survey'), such information must be submitted to the HMRC.

Hi Kenneth,

So as you submit information to HMRC, will our tax be deducted before we are paid, I.e. As most people are in their full time working jobs, or do I also need to declare crowdville on my self assessment to then pay the tax myself.

Hi Amyjay,

Yes you will have to declare this yourself, on your annual tax form.

My understanding is that you don't need to upload ID to register ;)

@Kenneth Crowder can confirm but I managed to do it without uploading any

Yes to sign up its not neccessary,
but when we need to pay you, we will ask you for this

we do not ask any information from you that we do not need, as to GDPR policy,
when we need to pay you

that's when we will ask for this to be submitted

Might be an idea to get the tech guys to change that ID line then because it needs to be clear what ID should be uploaded. The term is just too broad
