Here is my review of Crypto.com and the crypto app.
I was always a bit sceptical of all things bitcoin but when prices dropped after Covid first hit I decided to get a little bit involved. The product I chose for buying and using my digital currency was crypto.com, because 1, they have a visa card that you can use in any store or cashpoint to pay or withdraw as cash, 2 they have good bonuses and offers and 3 you can earn decent interest on some coins.
When you open a crypto.com account and stake (currently $400) of CRO for 6 months you get access to the following benefits:
* Metal Ruby Visa card paying 2% cashback on all purchases.
* Free Spotify
* Additional Cashback on gift vouchers including Tesco and M&S
* High interest savings
* Plus $25 Bonus paid in CRO for opening the account with the link below.
I've linked my card to my paypal so I get cashback on all my ebay purchases
If you want to go bigger you can apply for the next level up, the jade or indigo card which gives 3% cashback + free netflicks in addition to the above. But you need to stake more a lot more CRO to get this one. If you are mega rich then there are even further levels with more benefits but you need to stake silly money to access those.
Summary of positives and negatives to consider.
Positives
+ $50 sign up bonus (edit: sadly now reduced to $25)
+ sexy metal visa card paying 2% or 3% cashback
+ free spotify, (and netflicks too depending on your level)
+ Extra cashback on buying some gift vouchers through the app.
+ Good interest rates on some crypto - up to 12%
+ Cashback paid in minutes
+ Easy to buy crypto using a debit card or by transferring in from another wallet.
+ Nice, simple to use app. Easy to exchange between coins and send or buy crypto.
+ Very aggressive marketing at the moment is making the company and the coin more popular
Negatives
- You don’t get paid interest on the initial CRO you have to stake. for Ruby, but you do for the higher tiers.
- They don't pay cashback on things like utility bills or council tax. Perhaps I was expecting too much there.
- Open to all the usual risks and fluctuations of holding crypto.
- Customer service is a leave a message and we'll write back to you type set up. They got back to me same day but I'm saying this is a negative as I prefer to have a phone number to ring or at least a live online chat option.
- No guarantee all the benefits will be there forever.
- free to withdraw cash from ATM up to £400 monthly. But a %2 fee applies after.

The referral code is 6ud7nav9r4 as sometimes you seem to have to put it in manually.
