Personally when it comes to Ffantomcoin I mine it alongside Monero... Your CPU finds it for you automatically when u mine for Monero.

I haven't purchased either of these two... I purchased some bitcoin a while ago because I am not prepared to gpu or ASIC mine yet. And have recently traded some of the gained value for bitcoin cash which looks far more stable. Ethereum looks good as well but I wouldn't waste your breath on ripple and litecoin.

I am considering buying some Monero because the growth has been good and again you can trade Monero for bitcoin currently.

Try using Minegate. You don't have to mine but it gives you a decent wallet and access to good rates.

Hope that helps
Thank you for insight , would like to know how you go about minding that . sounds very complicated

@Chammy is doing great guns with her bitcoin investment!

Yup, sure people who have put money in bitcoin are doing really well right now. But I still see it as gambling rather than a concrete investment. Has all the characteristics of a classic bubble which will come crashing back down to earth at some point. Anyone who times it right, and sells at the right point, could do enormously well. But those who don't - as in tulip fever, or the dot.com bubble - could lose a lot.

Are there not too many of these crypto currencies floating around now? How do you know which ones you should have your money in when the music stops? Surely there is a chance that once everyone realises the Emperor has no clothes some of them will very quickly go to zero.

At the end of 2012 I ended up with £10 worth of Bitcoin (nearly half a Bitcoin) after an online transaction. I thought at the time that I had lost my £10 as I was struggling to find a way to convert it back to Pounds sterling. The Bitcoin market has gone through the roof this year though & the current value is above £2000 for my £10 Bitcoin. I'm considering putting another £10 in every few weeks if it continues to grow (figure its just as likely to make me a millionaire as buying a lottery ticket). I was just wondering if anyone on here has made money through Cryptocurrency? It is risky & probably best not to put too much money into it

Interested to know if you bought anymore or not...I hope you did! You must have earned a pretty penny by now!

Ripple had a good run over the past week.

@Lazarou316, I'd be interested to know how you are mining Monero and Fantomcoin - from what I have read you need significant computing power for the more well known cryptocurrencies.

As at 2nd Jan 2018 my total investment has been £300 and current profits are running at $613.

Closed out all my crypto positions due to falling prices - net profit reduced to just over $400, not bad for 2 and half months I think.

Have you actually received the money RickyRaj?

I ask because I read some awful reviews of Etoro that put me off.

You cant lose if you dont put any money in. I Use faucets daily to get my crypto fix. i then transfer to a mining site and let it grow. I Built my own faucet rotator which i find helps greatly. Happy to share which ones i use if anyone is interested.

DadsDoItRight, apologies I am new to this.

What are faucets, and how much are you earning from this when you transfer to mining?

It's currently sitting in my eToro account. I'm looking to follow some of the better traders with the gains to see if they can make me some more money. I haven't tried withdrawing yet.
