This does feel like a classic bubble at the moment. Wish I'd bought some bitcoin years ago, but not going to risk it now.

Just for feedback as I've mentioned elsewhere I am interested in investing in cryptocurrencies - is blockchain the best site to go to if you want to open a wallet and make a purchase? Is it relatively straight forward?

I think at the moment coinbase is probably the easiest to setup and buy .

but i think your looking to get a large amount of coins , try and keep the main chunk of it in wallet outside of these exchanges.

Thanks! I literally just downloaded the coinbase app a couple of days ago and made some minor investments into Bitcoin and Litecoin. Not necessarily looking to get a large amount of coins just yet - just the principles of investing and watching it rise and fall is key to me perhaps taking a bigger plunge!

Watch out for a dead cat bounce next week and then it may drop even further. After which, if it turns out to be a real thing that the world does need* then the the coming few weeks might prove to be the ideal time to invest as the price gradually starts to recover.**

* it doesn't

** I personally don't think it will, but if it drops a lot I might be tempted to stick £200 in just as a Pascal's Wager sort of thing.
