Having used Curve for a number of weeks now, I really am impressed with what they offer and thought I would share a bit of information about them with you as there are some really easy opportunities to make some extra cash.
What can you do with a Curve Card?
Carry all of your Visa and MasterCard products on one card
Curve is ploughing on and has been adding extra features, moving it closer to its original goal as a payment aggregator. The idea is that you can link all of your Visa and MasterCard products (and, long term, hopefully Amex again) cards to Curve, allowing you to just carry one card with you. Using the Curve app, you can switch the card which is recharged with your purchase. For businesses, there are additional features such as the ability to scan a receipt with your phone and have it stored alongside the transaction data.
Switch payment types after purchases
Curve is giving its British and European Mastercard users the ability to switch a purchase between credit or debit up to two weeks after the transaction took place.
Save money when spending abroad
Curve can also be used abroad. It charges the MasterCard rate + 1%, compared with the 3% charged by most credit and debit cards, so you will save 2% AND still receive miles or points from the Visa or MasterCard linked to your Curve Card.
Earn free miles and points every month
Withdraw up to £200/month as cash using your curve card and this will be charged to your credit card as a purchase, earning you purchase points on your credit cards assuming you use a credit cards that offers points on your spending.
Add contactless functionality to any non-contactless card
One other potential benefit is that Curve is contactless. If your main Visa or MasterCard product is not contactless, linking it to a Curve card is an easy way to gain contactless functionality.
Earn cashback when you spend at selected retailers
Curve Rewards offers you instantaneous cashback when you use your Curve card at one of the 50 participating retailers. No waiting around for ‘pending’ or ‘validating’ – the cashback will be available to spend as soon as you leave the store.

How do I make money from a Curve Card?
1. As mentioned above, if you have a credit card that offers rewards/vouchers on your spending, you can use this card in order to make purchases in stores that don't accept credit cards and have them charged to your reward credit card, in turn earning you points.
2. Using this card, you will earn cashback at the retailers listed above. Something you would miss out on using a standard Visa/Mastercard.
3. They have a referral program where you can earn £5 for every person you get to sign up.
Sign up using the referral code MY8X3 & get £5 free!
Once you have signed up, you will get your own referral code, and can share this with friends and family, earning £5 in rewards for each person that signs up and uses their card.
Anything else I need to be aware of?
The curve is targeted at the business market and you will be asked to confirm that you run your own business, are a partner in a partnership or have some form of self employed income on top of your regular job during the application process.
Currently Curve asks for no proof of business ownership, as such many people who want to use the card early have listed themselves as entrepreneurs. Alternatively, you can sign up as a consumer and wait for Curve to release their consumer card.
I've only been with Curve myself for a few weeks now, but they have been around for a while now.
