Thanks Jon. I'd prefer it as cash though so I'm going to see if I can add the Curve card to my PayPal account, deposit £5.00 on a online bookies, withdraw it back to PayPal, then to my bank account :)

Might be a little late here, but in answer to your question - I tend to use the Curve cash to top up my Revolut account and then transfer it free to another account from there or just withdraw the cash. If interested, I'd recommend signing up for Revolut here: https://revolut.com/referral/edwardq8w!a13221

Big fan of Curve. Between using it for holiday currency (cash and spending), to pay off credit card bills and to settle up with the taxman, this has saved me some serious money and has helped me maximise my cashback and air miles in the 2+ years I've had one.

If you're planning on signing up for one, I'd be very grateful if you could use my link/code:

Link: https://curve.page.link/fGae

Code: NVAVN

Much obliged. Peace

Just so you are aware, due to ongoing issue in German Financial services Provider Wirecard, Curve card is currently not working. So take a spare card with you when going shopping..

More here:

Curve did send an email out yesterday I received lunchtime about 20 minutes before trying to use my curve card (via Google Pay on my phone) in Asda - of course I hadn't read the email before fun and games ensued at the checkout. Luckily I had other physical cards with me.

Later in the day I did get a push notification to my phone from the app.

Whole thing is a bit of a bummer for those who use other pre-paid cards that are now locked out of their money.

Crikey!! Well this is a bit of a major issue for fintech stuff isn’t it!!

To be so dependant on a service from another country for it to work over here!

@PhilE I received a push notification around 10pm last night but this happened early in the morning yesterday so they didn't really communicate very well. Having said that, I think their customer is in a better place than pre-paid card users.

@Jon Travelex appears to be also impacted. Also another card called Anna and Pockit which I never heard of before.

Indeed! I read yesterday some people also use these prepaid cards as they struggle with ID to open a bank account , receive their universal credit to Pockit etc. Really sad. There is the whole discussion around cashless society and its' impacts on people from disadvantaged backgrounds, this will be another aspect not many people before ever thought of perhaps.

Can't work out how to spend curve cash or send to another bank account...I selected curve card in the app, tried to pay in a shop, but it took the money from my other visa card.

How would I transfer the curve cash to my Revolut account?

I assume by 'curve cash' you mean money you have earned through referrals.

You can't transfer curve cash, nor can you withdraw it, it's for just using in store where mastercard is accepted on online. So for example I use my curve cash / referral money / whatever you want to call it to bulk order booze for myself. If I buy online I just make sure in the App the curve card is selected and not my HSBC one and then bang in the details!

You would do the same 'in store'
