I cant imagine stopping while there are ways to earn money online. As a teaching assistant I don't get a brilliant salary although agency work makes it easier to leave poor quality jobs. I like having the extra money. I imagine ways to earn will change - apps may be popular now but don't know what will replace them in the next few years.

Even though I don't do many surveys, there are still some sites I will stick to and getting between £30 and £50 a month is still ok as ling as they are all short.

I don't want to work until I am 67 so will keep making money online and saving it.

I think a lot of 'normal' businesses will start venturing out to homeworkers. The company my sister works for are now employing live chat assistance from home.

Think about it. A lot of the standard office jobs can be done from home.

This is very true, most of my job can be done from home, especially as they supply the fancy laptop needed and phone so if you are being super tight you can run the laptop internet off that.

I came here just to cover the cost of my internet and then to earn money for my horse, it's not quite worked out like that but I have had a whole load of set backs. Getting into Matched Betting has been big for me, I can see myself giving up most of the survey stuff and just doing Leapforce and MBing, if I can get it to earn me enough money. This month I have made £309 on MBing which is great, I wish I could withdraw it but am working hard to build up a bank so I can start taking money off it.

I do things like matched betting, prolific, eBay etc as a sideline. Sometimes I have a few days between freelance projects so it fills in the time and helps me to keep going financially. Also, in the evenings my partner likes to watch TV and I am not really that fussed about it - so I usually sit next to him and just tinker on my laptop making bits of money before I retire to bed and watch an hour or so of stuff on my tablet.

Am not sure how long I will keep it up for - as long as it keep me happy I suppose!

this is a very interesting topic!

I started out just thinking I needed to do something with my spare time, I looked into a part time job but nothing was fitting of my time so went on the online journey.

Like most others I started out going through lists of sites and wasting many hours on sites like inboxpounds now I have my regular few I use but this year I have seen myself less and less interested in it not sure if it just the same routine or just that im more financially secure but I use to aim for 200 -300 a month and now its 100 which I just put into my savings account, will I stop? probably not just more of a downturn I would say

I’ll definitly keep going with the MB for as long as I can and as long as winnings are tax free!

I will keep going with the apps until they die a death, sadly I think this could happen in the next couple of years, although I have earned some money through Roamler and BeMyEye this month. I am having a break from my blog at the moment cause I have no time. Surveys drive me mad but I do Prolific and OnePoll. I think traditional mystery shopping will continue but I'm not sure the pay will ever get better. I have never done very well with MB, bit scared of it tbh after losing £80 once. I have done with casino offers occasionally though

@mabozza PA has a good acca tool which makes it really easy to do. But the offers are steadily worsening, William Hill lowered their acca offer last year which really hit my profits. Not sure what will happen this season, but its definitely not was it was when I started and that was only a couple of years ago.

As for working online, I've been thinking about this lately as I work online full time and am getting a bit fed up with it. It takes up loads of my time at awkward hours, for not a huge amount of money (LF is my primary earner plus all the usual bits and bobs on here). I want to move towards writing or something more passive but not sure what to do. I'll probably end up sticking with this until LF don't renew me or shut down and I'm forced to do something about it!

Passive incomes are always worth your time!
Once leapforce sacked my ass off it freed up my time to creates lots of different avenues of passive income to replace that money!

Yeah its a double edged sword with LF, it has its good points but it does dominate a bit. I think it will be quite liberating when it eventually comes to an end.

I'm off to read the passive income thread to motivate myself!

Yeah I mean when I lost it at first I was like OH CRAP!

But then you realise that time you gain back you can on other things such as building a platform or 2 to create a passive income. I mean it's not an overnight thing but it pays off in the long run I think.

Hell no . I've only just started :D:D:D
It's definitely a good gig, just don't become too reliant on it and start rearranging your life around the awkward hours as most of us have ended up doing and you'll be fine

EDIT: Just realised you probably meant online earning in general , not LF. Ignore me

I'm struggling a bit with motivation at the moment, think its the school holidays, plus heat, plus general burn out as I'm not normally like this. That said I have just won a £5 on a game on William Hill, had a bit of money in there and did a few spins on Hansel & Gretal, got lucky. As others have said, I am quite interested in moving towards writing more, but not with my blog cause I think the market for my type of material is a bit oversubscribed and I have struggled to promote it. Think the best bet is probably to send some of my better posts to magazines.

I can't quite remember but is there a reason why you only do risk related slots instead of risk-free sports matched betting offers???

Yes, I've never managed to get my head around matched betting even though I have had a couple of shots at it and I did manage to lose £80 once. Someone I managed to lose my liability. The amount that you have to put down as a liability has always scared me a bit as well. I am signed up with quite a lot of the companies but struggle to get my head round it all. When I do casino offers, I usually do them through cashback websites which helps a bit.

There's some interesting thoughts in this thread.

I first started trying to earn online over a decade ago and back then things were very different. I was a member of so many PTC sites that were huge back then but the pay per click was ridiculously there, there were hundreds of websites. I also did lots of survey sites from Toluna and other services.

I had a long break from the online money making world and only got back into in the last couple of weeks and it has all changed so much. There are lots more opportunities now.

I am just desperate for money right now so I am doing what I can to earn some cash (or vouchers)

I dunno how long I will do it for but a lot of the apps and things are so convenient now that it is easy to dip in and out of

PTC is literally the worst way to earn money online so the further you stay away from that the better!!!

I will keep doing it as long as I can stay motivated. I probably need something new to do to reinvigorate myself. Perhaps a blog, although the internet is saturated with those already.

Anyway, the biggest enemy to all of us in this game is inflation. As that continues to erode earning away I will probably do less of the little jobs and look for something a bit better paying.
