Do you guys use both mb companies?

Bin Betfair, their 5% commission is too much. I only use mine for the occasional market the others don't offer.

Smarkets is my go to exchange. Decent liquidity and only 2% commision. Oddsmonkey and PA do a 0% commission offer with smarkets but I think you need to have got in at the beginning, but it will come round again.

All that matched betting services seem to use The same self managed Wordpress plugin style forum rather than a feature rich one like we use on here

I suppose they just want a solution for their customers that offers little overhead and lets them chat to each other

OM forum drives me mad. Very cluttered yet loads of useful info on there. I think they should re-design their forum.

I was thinking of it but the vast majority of my bank is there (£500), so I'd need to forego opportunities for the 3 days until the money hits my bank. I have 0% commission with Matchbook but I don't really like the site, and it seems to have less markets. In time I will probably side with Smarkets as they seem most favoured. I don't get why Betfair still get away with 5% comminion.

Couldn't agree more. I think they need to realise that once the signups are done you are essentially paying for the forum afterwards.

No idea but we DID have 0% with Betfair for a while, during Chelts i think via PA and OM

You know both these companies must be making an absolute killing

If we forget the fact that OddsMonkey license out their OddMatching software to a fair few Matched Betting Companies and both OM and PA must earn lord knows how much through putting all their customers through gambling affiliation links the income stream of subs alone must be pretty mind-blowing

Case in point, on the PA careers page it has a job as 'affiliate manager' where you can work from home and that pays 25-35k and a head of development paying £90k!!

None of the links on the 'Guide' pages on OM are affiliate links - they are Safeurl links, but they only point at the actual bookie site and have no affiliate add-ons

Interesting I always figured these companies at least punted customers to Betfair / sneakers via an affiliate network as the Rev share would be INSANE!!

Having said what I said above I double checked the exchanges links and I think Betfair may be some sort of affiliate link (not sure about the Smarkets and Matchbook links), but the regular bookie sign-up links do seem to be non-affiliate

If you think about it, affiliate links wouldn't really work for the bookies as they would immediately be flagged as Matched Bettors and therefore defeat the object

As a matter of course I never click on the links anyway (just in case)
