'do you want to create an FTP copy'.... wossitmean???

Ive added another domain onto my business hosting with hostpresto. At the time there was a tick box asking if I wanted to create an FTP copy. I didnt select it as I dont know whether I need one or not. I messaged hostpresto and theyve told me how to go bakc and do it if I want to. But what exactly is it? In fact, if its a techie kinda answer theres not much point... do I need this or not though

An FTP copy I assume would be a direct replication of the LIVE site you can download and keep locally.

Some bloggers do it, I don't, especially not with a site like this where the content changes every 30mins!
