Does anyone else find it hard to make friends as an adult?

Friends are a bit thin on the ground at the moment.
I had a breakdown 3 years ago, have some mobility issues, am currently unemployed, in debt and a full time carer for my hearing impaired son.
So you can imagine my social life has been about as exciting as watching paint dry.
But time is moving on, I'm healing and have made inroads with some local support groups. The local MIND has been particularly useful as has Meet Ups groups.Finding people with similar experiences/interests has been helpful.
I'm nowhere near being a busy social butterfly yet and as for dating.... *shrieks* :-D
But it's getting better.

Can definitely resonate with this, people are so busy these days with life etc, it's much more difficult to network in person than school, college, uni etc

I dunno how people manage being at home all day, it would do my head in lol
