Yup I did this at the weekend and got paid yesterday.

It was a very straightforward task. I hope we get a lot more on here :D

Yes, did a couple of Tesco tasks today whilst on the way to visit the parents. The only gripe is the requirement to take 6 photos at the rear of the store and 6 at the front. This is okay for the larger stores (although a bit of a pain), but I'd find it quite hard to do surreptitiously in some of the smaller ones. The company is a US company, so perhaps this is something that will change over time.

If you go on the forums on the app (under help) you will see several people complaining about the excessive photo requirement bu there are replies from some of the long standing USA users who say they've complained about this in the past and the company does nothing so don't hold your breath!

They were asking for comments from new UK users as to how it compared to our other apps over here so I told them the photo requirements were excessive compared to BME etc.

I did one in a large Tesco and that was a bit of a pain to get 6 pics around the checkouts bearing in mind we have to keep people out of pics now with GDPR but they've paid it even though I did a few very similar shots. I've got quite a few around me in the smaller Tescos but I can't see an easy way to do the 6 pics in them particularly as they usually have a security guy hanging around there.

Incidently the US users were asking how much we got for the beer tasks and turns out they used to get a similar amout but it's been cut so they're not happy now they know we're getting more (at least at the moment) ;)

Is the number of photos required for each task not set by the client instead of the app company!?

I don't know but I would have guessed it was a joint discussion between what the client would ideally like and the app company telling them what was practical to get taskers to do the job. If the client demanded an impractical number of pics they would get no results so I'd guess it's up to the app company to guide them to some extent.

Had first go at this app today, found one single beer display and it wanted 6 pics of it then 6 pics of the back shop, 6 pics of front shop then a pic of the storefront wanting the address visible? (Never seen a Tesco with an address on it... anyway, fairly simple enough apart from ridiculous amount of pics... i took one pic of each of 3 sides of display (4th side against wall) see how that goes

I've just done a second one in the largest Tescos in my area and ironically there were no beer displays at all wereas I found 3 in the smaller one I did the other day.
I've noticed a couple of interesting points about this app. They don't remove a job from the available map after you submit it, they only remove it after they've approved it (2 days for my first one) so presumably someone else can do the same shop in the interim period.
They give you the points for the job as soon as you submit it before it's approved so I'm already at level 4 which means I can reserve 3 jobs at a time so the levels are easier to climb than Roamler & BME, you only need 1500 points for the top level 9 where you can reserve 10 jobs at a time, and since these jobs have 100 points each it's only 15 jobs to the max level. Useful for peeps like Mab who like to reserve a route on their travels ;)

Most of the Tescos I did it in were quite small, there was only one that was close to a supermarket size.

Not all of my front of store photos included the checkouts in, some were just of aisles or displays near the front and I still got the tasks accepted.

I'm on the lookout for new tasks now as the apps seem quite quiet near me this week

They paid the 2 that I did fairly quickly. I noticed this morning when I got a push notification of "new beer tasks near you" that they have put those 2 back on the map so I'm wondering if these tasks re-appear each week. Would be very nice if that's the case ;)

New beer ones on now for £5.00 plus 25p
But it's all the photos from last time plus photos of each bay in the beer aisles so a lot of photos!

Good spot! I didn't notice that. Also the £4 shops that haven't been done at all yet now have 2 tasks each on them, one at £4 and one at £5

Express stores are silly as all the beer is in fridges and you have to do photos with doors open.

Are Express jobs different? As in all stores i have done it is only to check on "warm" beer (IE Unrefrigerated) and not on shelves..only secondary displays
