Whether there are local elections for your Council depends on where it is, what type of Council you have (metropolitan/non-metropolitan , Unitary/two tier) and how the Councillors are elected (some Councils have an election every 4 years for the whole Council, others have an election for a third of the Council for three years out of four). In short, it's quite complicated!Still keen to do this but I can't find ANYTHING on my local council website about it
Classic North Tyneside.
EU elections it is then!No comment on the whole Brexit process, but if we do end up having European parliament elections, local Councils will no doubt be desperate for staff because it's quite short notice (I've already been asked about my availability), so you might want to keep an eye out. Any elections would be held on Thursday 23rd May, and the count would be held on the evening of Sunday 26th May.
You not working tonight then?Slow start at the polls. I've eaten more biscuits than we've had voters!
You not working tonight then?
In some ways I'm a bit sad I'm not working the night as crazy as that sounds but on the flip side I get to enjoy my birthday for the first time in 10 years tomorrow without a SERIOUS lack of sleep!
