Interesting.

How much do you make from this?

How often do you find items sell

Like your comment about Ebay at the top of the page - You are bang on about the rise in Fees

lol I've not sold anything yet, I've only just started inviting people to see my page.

My main aim for my facebook selling page is to clear out my loft and make some money along the way.

Yes ebay fees are crazy, especially as they now charge 10% on postage. I worked out if i sold my items for 99p I would make pennys :(

As someone who has been on eBay since way back when no-one had heard of it, I hate it now and avoid it whenever possible. Gone are the days when people used to put cash in an envelope, send it and get their items with no hassle. ;D

Facebook selling pages are good if you're in a pretty affluent area. If you're not, people want good stuff for peanuts.

I sell on Facebook, but I don't have a selling page, I just post as myself. Today I made £4 from a neck support pillow that gave me neck ache and an apron! It's good for selling low value things that people can collect.
RedAlix, do you buy things to sell on FB, or just your own stuff?

I'm just selling my own stuff. On my local selling pages they seem to limit the number of items you can post in a day so it would take forever to get it all on there lol

I have just mentioned this on another post, with the rise in eBay fee's and their ridiculous rules the Facebook platform has become a favourite for people wanting to sell there odds and sods.
I was just saying that I managed to buy from one page and sell on another and make a profit, and the best bit is that its a free platform, you make friends.
And lets be honest i'm sure most of us spend a few hours on Facebook seeing all your friends drama's etc

Thanks
Mark

This is a really good idea. You just need to have a source of items to sell. Scouting around for cheap items or freebies is the hardest part.

Annoyingly i used to know a website where people would post stuff they were giving away, which would have been useful to then sell on. If I remember it, I shall post it.

Jordan you should just do as I do.

Buy locally from a facebook page, try and get a few purchases organised from the same are all at once so your not driving around buying things to often as you will waist money on time and fuel.

Bring them back home, inflate the price a bit, and put them onto another facebook page.

You will have no more fuel bills etc as you are now the seller and purchaser will come to you.

You will from time to time get someone moaning at you that I saw you buy that from so in so page for £10 and now your selling for £17 but so what ! they arn't paying your bills are they !

Its a nice little was to earn money online and is relatively easy top do.

Cheers
Mark

I do have a Facebook fanpage, but it's not specifically for selling. It's more to do with eyeballs and driving traffic towards the listed website.

Checking my Google analytics for the past two weeks, I've had about 70 people visit via the Facebook page and staying on average for 1m.42s, so it's worthwhile and again it's free :D

I often sell my old stuff once I have bought newer stuff, and it works really well. I have probably made over £200 selling all my old thing I no longer have any use for.
