Whats everyone's favourite exchange to use for lay bets? I mainly use Smarkets and make use of the 0% commission.

I know most start on betfair and there's always a lot of liquidity there and betdaq and matchbook now also have 0% offers. Just interested if anyone really prefers one or another and why?

I have a referral code for smarkets if anyone wants one - strendu92 - you get a risk free £10 bet and i do too.

I have dabbled with trading but I used smarkets the first few times, the liquidity isn't consistent enough for fast moving markets tho. I stick to betfair for trading on the rare occasion i do.

Have you had a lot of success with betfair trading?

I mostly use Betfair (horses, pre-made ACCAs, more obscure markets such as handicaps and under/overs) and Smarkets for sharbing and accumulators.

I've noticed in the last few years that the prevalence of 0% commission deals has altered the markets. I reckon that traders are front running the markets and layers (mostly matched bettors) are accepting poor prices. Also, Smarkets can be a few ticks out on horse racing.

I definitely agree that traders take advantage of the willingness to lay at higher than market prices.
I think i may start using betfair for my horse lay bets for a bit and see how it goes.

I agree, like i said smarkets is my go to for pretty much anything. I have an account with matchbook but never actually used them, do you find any noticeable difference in odds between them?

not enough money being in the exchange on Smarkets has caught me off guard a few times when betting on the nags at the weekend

No the odds are usually identical or at least very close. Sometimes matchbook has better odds for the horses in the morning of races but smarkets odds tighten up closer to the off and will be the same as matchbook or betfair by the time they are in the stalls. Matchbook probably has the less liquidity than the other 2 and carries less markets, but still good for all the main events.

I notice no one has mentioned Betdaq yet? I joined it for the sign up offer but never used it because liquidity seemed way down on all the others.

Same here, I haven't used Betfair in ages.

EDIT: I had quoted homie's post there but it didn't work, not sure what I did wrong..

I used to use only Betfair (and I prefer it as it appears to have the most liquidity). However, I have not been active in MB recently so have switched to Smarkets to benefit from the 0% commission.

Betdaq used to be good when they were 3% whilst Betfair was 5%, this was yonks ago. Daq annoyed their customers by going to 5% after Ladbrokes bought them.

Smarkets was awful when it first came out. But now they're all pretty good, we've never had it so good with exchanges.

for laying when matched betting i use Smarkets. - the commissions the main draw.
I only use Betfair if there isn't a good match on Smarkets or if im scalping on horses because of the integrated video.
