Awesome thanks

Just seen it! You don't have to wait until then to deposit but yes you can't withdraw until you have your card (or activation codes if you choose not to have one) so personally I waited till the card came so I could take it straight out again but personal preference I guess :)

OK all good... So the card is like a debit card? Did you have to physically withdraw the grand at an atm or you just need card number for bank transfer? Sorry clueless lol

Yes the card is a debit card. No you just need the card number to activate the online payment section of your account. No need to withdraw the grand. Just electronic transfer back :)

@bobcat2010 how important is the phone call? I don't seem to have had one.

I never had a phone call either. I remember there being a choice at the start whether you wanted to do the application online or finish by phone. I choose online and everything was done online with no phone call just a text with activation codes etc. Perhaps mabozza choose to complete by phone? I'm not sure.

Got to say. Fantastic use of TMS This @bobcat2010

Good opportunity for others to make money for nothing, you're helping others out and obviously you benefit by using your referral link

win win win!

In terms of strategy, are you going to keep the account long term or are you planning to shut it pretty soon?

I suppose best to keep open as it would seem like abuse of the promotion otherwise.

There are no T&Cs saying there is a minimum period however like you say if a ton of people sign up then instantly close their account afterwards they may change their generous offer. I'm keeping it as a backup to my monzo card when abroad :)

Thanks Jon! It's a pretty easy 7% on money :D

As I said before, when people are all signed up etc don't forget to share your own referral in the thread for someone else to sign up with. :)

Sounds good, any idea about the credit checks they do?
I've been on a bit of a bank-tarting mission lately... I'm several hundred pounds richer but according to Experian my credit score could do with a rest!

I'm in the exact same boat as you! Done a lot of bank switches in the past year and whilst my credit score isn't bad, it's not the 999 it was before!

Wondering if there is a limit to referrals?

I know it used to be 20 users per year for me receiving the bonus however the bonus is unlimited for the user signing up. So even if I manage to pass 20 sign ups people signing will still get the bonus :)

However can't find the T&Cs that stipulate that any more! You can however verify on live chat that code - UK7486863 - will give you your bonus, if you so wish. On the sign up link you'll also see the bonus is already applied :) - https://finecobank.com/uk/apriconto/scelta-online-cp?cp=UK7486863

Now signed up to a couple of the different CRAs. Suprised by how much my credit score differs across them.
Yes, although, the score is currently not as good as it once was, apparently it's still better than that of the average bear.

I'm sorry you found it such as faff!

You can transfer the grand whenever you went but you need to wait for the card to transfer it out again as you need the card number to 'activate' the online payments section of the online banking.

You should find your referral code here (when you're logged in) - https://finecobank.com/esplora-fineco/uk/mgm - hopefully you can get a few which means all this faff doesn't seem so bad :D
